National Bike and Roll from School Day
Lincolnshire police officers met with walkers, cyclists, and rollers as they were leaving school to remind them of safety protocol. The last day crossing guards are in place is Friday, Nov. 20.
Here are some important reminders:
- Always wear your helmet!
- Be aware of traffic - wait for the crossing guard to cross during busy times.
- Lock your bike in the stand.
- REMEMBER - SAFETY FIRST!
Officers also wanted to remind families of the new Illinois Law SD-3484 that takes effect on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2027, that sets the minimum age for all electric mobility devices at 16-years-old.

AI Usage
School administrators want to clarify that students do not have open access to AI websites at school. AI websites are blocked on student devices, with the exception of MagicSchool AI, an educational AI platform designed specifically for use in schools. As we develop our district guidelines, our goal is to help students learn how to use AI appropriately, responsibly, and as a tool to support their learning when permitted by their teacher.

A Message Regarding Calls and Voicemails from DW:
If you happen to miss a call from Daniel Wright, 847-295-1560, we will make every effort to leave you a voicemail explaining the reason for our call. It is important to make sure your voicemail is set up and that your inbox is not full so that we are able to leave you a message.
Sometimes, a call from Daniel Wright may be coming directly from your child. While we encourage our students to leave a clear voicemail when they call home, your support in helping them practice this at home would be greatly appreciated.
