The Hive
August 16th, 2025
Dear Hornet Families,
I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Alice Johnson Junior High. Joining your school community is a privilege, and I am grateful for the warm welcome I have already received from our scholars, faculty, and staff members.
As we approach the upcoming STAAR assessments, I want to take a moment to encourage our scholars. This is an important time for you to demonstrate all you have learned throughout the year, and I am confident in your ability to succeed.
Preparation is key. Our scholars can do their best by getting a good night’s sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, and arriving at school on time each day of testing. Our teachers have worked hard to ensure that every scholar feels prepared and confident, and we are proud of the hard work and dedication shown in classrooms every day.
Parents and Guardians, your support makes a tremendous difference. Encouraging words, a calm environment, and positive reinforcement at home can help scholars feel ready and focused.
To our Hornets: believe in yourselves. You have put in the effort, and now it’s your time to shine. Stay focused, take your time, and do your very best.
Thank you for your support and partnership. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to support our scholars.
Your Proud Principal,
Priscilla Jones-Revis

Student Hornet Policies
Attention Parents:
We want to ensure that all students are aware of our campus policies and expectations. We have attached the student hornet policies for you to review with your children.
Please be sure to take a look at the dress code, as we have students that have been out of dress code.
English: Hornet Policies
Spanish: Las Políticas De Los Hornets
We are aware that our hornet students want to show their pride at athletic events and we want them to attend as many as possible!
As per the new Channelview Athletic Regulations, students attending games on campus- both Elementary & Middle School must be accompanied by a supervising adult and remain seated with them at all times.
We understand that this is different from previous year, but it is important that we communicate this with you all.
We hope that with your collaboration we can inform all of our students of this new policy!
