King Philip Regional High School
Week of December 1, 2024

May 29, 2026
Principal's Message
Greetings KP Community,
This past week was filled with celebration, connection, and meaningful milestones across KPRHS. Our Unified Field Day was a truly special event, highlighting the spirit of inclusion, teamwork, and community that defines KP. From the hallway parade to the energy on the field, it was inspiring to see students and staff come together in support of our athletes. We are especially grateful to the first responders who joined us that day—your presence and support helped make the event even more memorable for our students.
At the same time, our seniors marked the end of their classes with traditions that have become a meaningful part of this time of year. From the spirited scooter parade through town to a fun-filled Field Day and a successful senior prom, the Class of 2026 has embraced these final moments together. After completing their final assessments this week, they now look ahead to Senior Week, filled with important events and celebrations, culminating in graduation on Sunday, June 7th.
As we celebrate these milestones, I also want to recognize and thank the many educators who have supported this class throughout their journey. Their dedication, care, and commitment have helped shape the experiences and successes of our students, and we are grateful for the impact they have made along the way.

In Control Crash Prevention Demonstration
On Tuesday, June 9th, we will host the In Control Crash Prevention Demonstration, presented by The In Control Family Foundation in collaboration with the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
This full-day, on-campus program focuses on passenger safety and responsible decision-making. State-certified instructors will offer brief, ride-along demonstrations highlighting the importance of seat belt use and the dangers of speeding, impairment, and distracted driving. Students will not be driving during the demonstration. We believe this experience will provide students with a memorable, real-world perspective on the importance of making safe choices as passengers and future drivers.

Free and Reduced Cost Meals Application
Please note that even though meals will be free for all, it is very important for families in need to still complete the household Application for Free and Reduced Price Meals for the 2025-2026 school year. This allows districts to establish eligibility for other federal benefits and school programs. Families who have been eligible for Free and Reduced Meals in the past must apply again for 2025-2026. Please know that the application is confidential with only the Director of Food Services and administrators having access. All students receive the same meals.

Updates from Nurse’s Office
News from the Nurses Office:
Parents/guardians - Please be aware that if your child feels ill while at school - please encourage them to visit the nurse's office for evaluation. If we deem it medically necessary, you will be contacted and we will excuse the dismissal. If a student dismisses themselves without being seen by the nurses, their dismissal cannot be excused ( without a doctor's note).
Please keep your students home if they are ill. This includes: fever (greater than 100 degrees and your child may return to school only after their temperature has been consistently below 100 degrees, by mouth, for a minimum of 24 hours), vomiting (even once) and diarrhea.
WE do not carry OR provide cold/cough medicine. We do not carry OR provide Claritin or Allegra
( allergy medicine). The Benadryl we have in the office is for anaphylactic events .
Dismissal Reminders
Dismissals must be done in person at the Main Office or by Email
