Parent/Teacher Conference Sign Up

Parent-Teacher Conferences begin next week. See below for all of the information that you need to know in order to sign up.

Dear Families,

As a reminder, Bird Middle School will be having individual Parent - Teacher Conferences on the following days and times:

Thursday, October 26: 6:00 – 8:00 PM (in person conferences)
Friday, October 27: 12:15 – 2:45 PM (virtual conferences)
Wednesday, November 1: 4:00 – 6:00 PM (in person conferences)

This year, you will be choosing the day and time when you want to meet with individual teachers.

Once you access the link, you decide on the day and time. Keep in mind that 2 of the days are for In-Person conferences and 1 of the days is for Virtual conferences. Then you type your name and your child's name directly into the document.

If there is already a name there, then that appointment slot is filled and you will have to choose a different time.

IMPORTANT:

Spaces are limited and will be filled on a "first come, first served" basis. So if there are teachers that you have a strong desire to see, we recommend starting signing up with those teachers first. But if you can't make any of the times for conferences or find that all times have been filled, you are always welcome to call the teacher to set up a phone call or meeting about your child.

PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to have a Google email account to sign up. We have adjusted that setting so that anyone with the link can sign up. Please read all of the information below before signing up.

Since we are using an all electronic sign up format for our conferences, we appreciate your patience with any glitches in the process. If you have any questions, please contact the office or the specific teacher with whom you are looking to meet on that day.

Below is what you'll see first when you access the link. This is where you will choose the day and the teacher. Select the teacher on that day & then sign up for a time.

IN PERSON CONFERENCES

In Person conferences will be 5 minutes in length and held in the teacher's classroom at our school. Parents should arrive to the classroom in advance of their sign up time. You should wait in the hallway until brought into the room by the teacher.

VIRTUAL CONFERENCES

Virtual conferences will be 5 minutes in length and held via Google video meetings. Parents should access the google meet link that is posted on the individual teacher sign up sheet. See the picture below as an example of where the link will be posted for you to access on October 27th.

On the afternoon of the Virtual Conference, visit that teacher's sign up sheet, then click the google meet link at the time of your appointment and the teacher will grant you access to the meeting. Access may not be instantaneous due to the prior time slot's conference. But please be patient and you will soon be let in.
