Let's read together!
Hi 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders!
I am so excited to be reading with you this summer. Hopefully, you can join me at least once, but you are welcome to join me each week.
This is how it is going to work:
- We will meet on Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. via ZOOM most days
- The only time we will meet at 11 is when we are reading The Bad Guys.
- My Zoom information is the same for each meeting.

Zoom Etiquette:
- This is a virtual classroom, therefore, appropriate classroom behavior is expected.
- Please keep your audio on mute until you want to speak. This will help to limit background noise.
- Consider using a headset with an external mic for best hearing and speaking capabilities.
- Please add your first name to your box so I know who is attending/speaking
- If you would like to speak or answer a question, use the “Raise Hand” feature. Then unmute yourself after you are called on by Mrs. Baker.
- If you would like to use the chat box, remember that it is public, and a record of the chat is kept and archived.
- Make sure your video is on (if you have camera capabilities) so your teacher and peers can see you.
- Please take care of your personal needs (appropriate dress, basic hygiene, eating, chewing gum, talking to others in your home, etc.) prior to entering a Zoom classroom.
- Remember to sign out or “leave the meeting” when the session is finished.

Have you lost your Sweet Summer Reading Calendar?
If you misplaced your Sweet Summer Reading Calendar, you can access it here in order to print out another one. If you do not have a printer, you can just keep a record in a notebook or on a piece of paper as to which activities you did over the summer. Don't forget to share your reading calendar/list with your school librarian when school starts again!
