Mrs. Federinko received the Citadel Heart of Learning Award. This is an award nominated by community members. Mrs. Federinko has been a valued member of the Murray Avenue School and now Lower Moreland Middle School staff. Students and families are grateful for her support and the type of community she builds in her classroom! Congratulations, Mrs. Federinko!

We had our Advisory After Dark event last week on Friday. Students could select from a number of different activities. In the gym, students could choose from basketball, Castle ball, and floor hockey. Students could also play Swag Bingo or Lions Games, based on games from Squid Games. They could also choose Chat and Chill Game Lounge. Students could also choose the video game truck option. Thank you to PTA for supporting our event and our staff volunteers who ran activities and attended!

LMMS Grade 8 Parents/Guardians:

Students’ elective selections and course recommendations for Grade 9 have been uploaded into our school information system. The elective choices that were submitted by students and course recommendations submitted by teachers are viewable in the Home Access Center through Friday, March 13, 2026. Please review your child’s selections.

If there is an error or a different elective selection is desired, please contact Mrs. Tish Maloney with the desired change at tmaloney@lmtsd.org by March 20, 2026.

If you have a question about a core course recommendation (math, science, ELA, social studies or world language), please contact your child’s current teacher directly. Any waiver request forms are due by Friday, March 27, 2026.

Please note that this is not your child’s schedule. These are requested courses only. Schedules are available in August.

To view your child’s selections and recommendations, follow these steps:

1) Log into Home Access Center (HAC).

2) Click on the "Classes" Icon at the top center of the page.

3) Click on the "Schedule" tab.

4) Scroll down below the "2025-2026 Schedule" section to view the "2026-2027 Course Requests"

Spring Parent-Teacher conferences will take place March 18, 19, and 20, 2026.

Conference times for all grades are as follows:

Wednesday, March 18: 12:30-3:00 PM

Thursday, March 19: 12:30-3:00 PM

Friday, March 20: 12:30-3:00 PM

Tryout Dates:

• Softball: March 23rd

• Baseball: March 23rd

• Track & Field : March 23rd (no tryouts; practice begins)

Required ArbiterSports PIAA Paperwork:

• PIAA Physical Sections 5 and 6 must be completed by a parent and doctor, stamped, and dated after May 1st, 2025. This is required to attend tryouts.

• Please note: if your child played a fall or winter sport, you need to complete the registration for "Lower Moreland Middle School - Spring Athletics 2026 Re-Certification" and upload Section 7 of the PIAA paperwork.

LMMS PTA presents the 7th & 8th Grade Bowling Social!

Join us on Friday, April 10th at Lucky Strike Feasterville, for a fun night of bowling, food, and arcade time with friends. Check-in will begin at 5:15 PM, bowling starting promptly at 5:30 PM, followed by arcade time from 7:00–7:30 PM, and pick-up by 7:30 PM.

Cost is $32 per attendee and includes bowling shoe rental, $10 arcade card, 2 slices of pizza, fries & soft drinks.

Students must be registered in advance (by March 26th) as space is limited and no walk-ins will be permitted. Please arrive on time for check-in and plan for prompt pick-up at 7:30 PM.

LM PTA Designer Bag Bingo will take place Friday, May 1st 2026 at the newly renovated Brookside Manor at Somerton Springs. Join us for new themes, new games and lots of entertainment! This high energy Bingo will have you dancing in your seat!

Doors Open at 6:00; Dinner at 6:30, Bingo at 7:00.

$55pp Admission is sold on a first come, first served basis. Attendees must be 21+ to enter.
