Back-to-School Support from The Martinsburg Initiative
The Martinsburg Initiative (TMI) is thrilled to once again sponsor their Annual Backpack Giveaway! Families are invited to stop by the Ramer Center (515 West Martin Street, Martinsburg, WV) to pick up free backpacks filled with school supplies after 3 p.m.. We anticipate serving over 250 students this year thanks to generous donations from community members, businesses, and partner organizations.
NOTE: Students receiving backpacks MUST be present at pickup.
We know how much a fresh haircut can boost a student’s confidence. That’s why TMI is partnering with local barbers and stylists to offer free haircuts for school-aged children just in time for the first day back. These events will take place on August 13 and 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club, located at 105 West John Street in Martinsburg. Space may be limited, so come early!
