Impacts to School Operations

Dear Banks School District Community,

In light of the forecasted snow, especially at higher elevations and the timing near the PM commute, we have decided to release students and staff three hours early tomorrow for the safety of everyone in our community.

  • Early Release Details:

    • Elementary School Release: 11:45 AM

    • Middle and High School: 12:00 PM

    • Transportation: Routes 101 (Squirrel), 106 (Turtle), 112 (Elephant) are on SNOW ROUTES///Routes 102 (Tree), 103 (Horse) are on LIMITED SERVICE. (See Schedule)

    • NOTE: All buses will drop students off approximately three hours prior to the scheduled time.

To ensure that our students are taken care of, lunch will be available before the early release.

We understand that early releases can be an inconvenience, but the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We encourage everyone to plan accordingly and make the necessary arrangements.

Please stay tuned for any further updates or changes. The decision to release early is based on the most current weather information available, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter. Please be advised that we will provide any additional information and updates via email, FlashAlert, and our official Social Media channels.

Thank you for your cooperation, and let's all work together to ensure a safe and smooth early release.
