Important Reminders from Mr. Kausch

8TH GRADE SCHEDULING - On Wednesday March 24th, 8th grade students will be working on their high school schedules. All 8th graders will have a page added to their Schoology accounts which will direct them to their specific high school, based on their current address and feeder path. At 11:15 AM, each individual 8th grader will go to their new HIGH SCHOOL SCHOOLOGY PAGE and follow the directions to watch a presentation on scheduling and completing the PowerSchool online scheduling platform. Each high school will be offering office hours for questions. Hours and information can be found on the high school schoology page.

** See the PDF below from Warren Mott High School

HALF DAY SCHEDULE - When there is a 1/2 day scheduled, ALL students, hybrid and virtual will be online with their teacher on WebEx using the speed schedule (hours 1-6, ending at 10:45 AM).

NWEA - On Wednesday March 24th, 7th grade students will log into their ELA teacher's WebEx at 8:05 AM to take the ELA assessment and 6th grade students will log into their math teacher's WebEx at 8:05 AM to take the math assessement. Taking the NWEA and attending CONNECT class at 10:47 are the two tasks to be completed for 6th/7th grade students on this day.

NWEA MAKE-UPS - For students that haven't finished a specific test, please expect a Schoology message or phone call from Ms. Von Itter or a school counselor to make arrangements to finish these important assessments.

HYBRID STUDENTS should be bringing their laptops fully charged to school when they are in person. If you don't have a district issued laptop, were previously using a desktop computer, or are uncomfortable sending your student with a personal laptop, you can fill out the Technology Survey (link below) to receive one.

STUDENT PICK UP AND DROP OFF is at the BACK of the building. Please help the flow of traffic by pulling all the way to the back of the building and staying out of the bus loop in the front of the building. Also, if you want to park, please use a designated parking spot to help with the flow of traffic. The side doors will remain locked. Doors open at 7:50 AM and students report directly to their first hour classroom.

LUNCH is currently universal free for the school year. Your child does not need to come to school with any money for lunch. Additional lunches and breakfast meals will be passed out at Carleton on Wednesday, March 24th.

Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
