Penny Wars:

*Penny Wars: Our student council is overseeing Penny Wars! Penny Wars will go until February 17th. There are 4 jars in the cafeteria. Students can participate by putting pennies into 1 of the 4 jars, each labeled by grade. There is a twist-coins like nickels, dimes, quarters can have a minus effect if they are placed in another grade's jar. That grade will lose points for the silver coins. Dollars bills are worth 100 points and can give a big boost to a grade. The grade with the most points will win a mystery prize!

Donations will be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in honor of Connor Flanagan. đź’ś

Postural screening

Dear Parent/ Guardian:

Massachusetts General Law c. 71, s. 57 requires all publicly enrolled students in grades 5 through 9 to receive annual postural screening for scoliosis. Postural screening is essential as your child is going through his/her most rapid rate of growth during 5th- 9th grade. During this time, early detection of a spinal curvature can create opportunities for the easiest treatment to correct the growth of the spine. Not recognizing the problem until the child is fully grown can lead to serious complications as an adult, such as pain and even difficulty breathing, which may only be corrected by surgery.

Generally, these screens are part of your son/daughterÂąs annual physical examination with their pediatrician. However, if you would like for our school nurse to complete this important examination, please notify your school nurse in writing no later than April 3, 2023.

Please call your school nurseÂąs office with any questions.

Sincerely,

Chelmsford Public School Nurses

Chromebook Repair Protocol

Chromebook Repair Protocol: If your student enters a ticket through the IIQ Helpdesk while at home, they will need to drop off the Chromebook in the library when they come to school the next day. The Tech Department will collect the broken device and perform the repairs. Students may be able to get a loaner device while waiting for their device to be repaired.

When the repairs are done, the student will be alerted via their ticket/email to pick up their device in the library.

Please use this video tutorial for the process of submitting an IIQ Helpdesk ticket.
