We had another awesome Chili Cook-Off, thanks to the teamwork of our families and staff! Chris Cakes once again provided tasty pancakes. We had amazing Raffle Baskets to win. AND of course, there was the tasty chili to vote on and games to enjoy! The first place People's Choice award went to the Spicy Scholars (Specials' Team). And our "official judges", none other than our Superintendent, Mr. Rick Moulin, and Board Member, Kim Beets, awarded the "Golden Spoon" to The Dragons Love Chili (Kindergarten Team).

Tea, Treats and Tales! Tea, Treats and Tales!

PTO once again sponsored Tea, Treats and Tales! This is an opportunity for students to invite their loved ones to school during the school day to enjoy a tasty treat and shop the Book Fair together. Not only is this fun for students and their families, it also generates big sales so that Mr. Mackey can purchase books for our library to keep it fresh and exciting for our students!

Game Bus Game Bus

Students who sold 3 or more boxes of chocolate bars during our annual fundraiser got to spend 30 minutes on the game bus during the school day! What a fun prize! Thanks to all who helped to make our annual fundraiser a success! We love sharing the ways we use these funds to support Delaware Ridge Elementary!

More to Brag About More to Brag About

In addition to Tea, Treats and Tales, PTO members have been helping out at the Book Fair during student shopping times throughout the week. They help students select books, and keep things running smoothly to minimize time out of the classroom.

PTO members and other parents helped students with their Kindness Activities, Community Outreach Projects, and Valentine's Day Parties.

PTO provided treats at the February staff meeting, as well as birthday cards for teachers with February birthdays!

We got to see the tshirts that PTO paid for on display at the First Grade Celebration of Learning.

Fourth Graders have been making sweet musical sounds on the recorders we purchased for them!

Delaware Ridge PTO now has Zeffy! We are so excited to be able to offer this more convenient way for you to participate in the great things we have planned!

What is PTO?

PTO is a group of parents and teachers that work together to plan fun, family events for students at Delaware Ridge Elementary. We meet once a month (usually the first Thursday) in the Media Center at DRE. Meetings usually last about an hour and we use that time to review our budget, plan for upcoming events and take down ideas for future events. All parents/caregivers and teachers are welcome to attend. We'd love to see you there!
