Good morning, Rebels,

And just like that, it’s Friday! We’ve had a short, but busy week over here at NFHS, which will culminate in our first Pep Rally this afternoon. Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we navigated yesterday afternoon’s early dismissal.

As a reminder, school conferences will take place next week. Afternoon and evening conferences are scheduled for Thursday, October 22, and morning conferences will take place on Friday, October 23. Please click on this link to schedule your time. NFHS Conferences

The bell schedule rotation for next week is as follows:

  • Monday: C Day
  • Tuesday: D Day
  • Wednesday: E Day
  • Friday: A Day

Please note that there will be no regular classes on Thursday, October 22, as we administer the PSAT to students in grades 10 and 11. Students in grades 9 and 12 will participate in separate programming that day. Regular bus transportation will be provided, and students will be dismissed at approximately 11:40 a.m.

We’re also looking forward to seeing our Rebels dance the night away at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 17, at 7:00 p.m.! We hope our students have a fun and memorable evening.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact the main office team at (203) 312-5800 with any questions.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Dr. Blore and the NFHS Team

October 22 PSAT Day - Early Dismissal

As a reminder, we will have an early dismissal around 11:40 am for our October 22 PSAT day. Grades 10 and 11 students will take the PSAT, while grade 9 and 12 students engage in special programming. Please see the adjacent photo with details about the grade 9/12 schedule that day. All families and students received an email this week with information about the testing day and plans. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's counselor.

AP Test Reminders

In May, each AP course has a cumulative examination that each student is expected to take. Each test has an associated cost of $90 per exam. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch now qualify for free AP Exams.

For families who have not already done so- Please see the form sent by Mr. Blecharczyk to confirm their registration. Any student’s form that has not been received by November 2, 2026 will be automatically enrolled for the test. If a student enrolls for the AP exam after this deadline, or withdraws from the exam after the tests have been ordered, additional fees will be incurred. Thank you for your help with this!
