In an effort to maintain a safe and focused learning environment, we'd like to remind families of board policies regarding electronic devices (Policy 237) and the acceptable use policy for digital & informational technology (Policy 815) as they pertain to personal electronic devices.

Policy 237 prohibits students from using personal electronic devices during instructional time. This includes personal laptops and tablets. These devices do not receive the same level of security and protection, such as blocking and filtering, as the district-owned devices provided to every student. Therefore, personal devices can pose a threat to district digital security. Additionally, using personal devices to purposefully circumvent any of the digital security put in place by the district to protect district resources can be considered a violation of policy 815, putting the user at risk of losing access privileges, disciplinary action, or being responsible for any related damages to district systems. We encourage families to discuss these policies with their students and remind them to only use district-issued devices in the classroom. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a digitally safe environment.

Now that the 2025-2026 school year is in full swing, we wanted to take this opportunity to pass along some helpful information and keep you updated on what we have planned for the beginning of this school year, specifically for our seniors in the Senior Edition of our Newsletter. The race will take place on Saturday, September 27th at 8:30 AM at Avon Grove Middle School. This fun, family-friendly event helps support the Avon Grove Cross Country teams. The course is a rolling cross-country route, with post-race awards and refreshments.

Highlights include:

• $25 pre-registration / $30 race day registration

• Awards for top male and female finishers, as well as the top 3 in each age group

• Team Trophy for the athletic team with the highest participation
