Egg-cellent IXL Challenge
Dear Parents,
We are excited to introduce the IXL Egg-cellent Challenge for SMMS! This fun and interactive program aims to motivate students in both math and reading. Students will complete assigned IXL tasks, collect eggs from the front office (in the Giant Egg Basket), and earn rewards along the way. The challenge encourages them to work hard and track their progress while having fun!
How It Works:
Students will receive a tracking sheet to help them monitor their progress. Every time they complete an IXL task, they will get a signature from their teacher. After completing their tasks, students will bring their signed sheet to the front office where they can choose an egg, open it, and write their name on the slip inside. They will then return the egg so we can recycle it for others to use.
Additionally, students can earn Golden Bonus Eggs for the following:
- Golden Bonus Egg in ELA: When a student receives a "Level is Up to Date" message in ELA on IXL, they earn a Golden Bonus Egg!
- Golden Bonus Egg in Math: When a student receives a "Level is Up to Date" message in Math on IXL, they earn a Golden Bonus Egg!
- Golden Egg Bonus for Home Time: For every 2 hours of time spent working on IXL at home, students earn an extra Golden Egg Bonus.
As students earn more eggs, they can unlock exciting prizes, including:
- Golden Egg Prize - Pizza for You and 3 Friends!
- Other Large Prizes
- Extra Recess Time
- VIP Chair for the Day
- Music Time (Pick a song at bus call)
- Pass to Use Technology (Use iPad for game during 5th period)
- Snack Delivery (During UA)
- Class Swap (Swap 5th periods for 1 day)
- Ice Cream with the Principal
- VIP Lunch Room
- School Store Bucks to shop in the school store
- And many more!!!
We hope this challenge will motivate our students to keep working hard while having some fun with their learning. Please encourage your child to participate and support them in completing their tasks.
Thank you for your continued support!
Best regards,
Dr. Haderer
