YouthBridge-NY -- now in its 20th year -- offers programming that creates opportunities for learning about oneself and others and provides the tools to address social justice issues like health care disparities, food justice, and criminal justice reform. Participants meet twice a month from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, once for skill building workshops and the other for team-based work on the issues described above.

Two years ago, we launched a Brooklyn-based version of YouthBridge-NY. We are looking for students who live in and/or go to school in Brooklyn. Ideal candidates are curious, open-minded, motivated to explore social issues, and committed to developing the skills needed to create change.

Attached you'll find three documents:

  • A one-page description of YouthBridge-NY
  • A one-page summary of our curriculum
  • A flyer with more information for teens interested in joining our program

Would you be able to recommend 3 – 5 students in 10th and/or 11th grade? They can apply to the program at this link or by using the QR code on the attached flyer.

The deadline to apply is September 19. We will conduct interviews in late September and early October with a tentative start date of late October.
