Our staff has been working incredibly hard this week to prepare for the beginning of school. We are excited and hope you are too! Just a few last-minute nuts and bolts:

The school committee released a draft version of our newest COVID protocols. The protocols can be found here. In short:

• Students will be required to wear masks indoors (unless prohibited due to an accommodation). Masks should be brought by students, from home. We will have masks on hand for students that forget theirs.
• Students will remain distanced, when feasible, at 3' or more during class and will remain 6' apart during lunch.
• Students may eat outside at lunch.
• All rooms have been equipped with at least one high velocity, HEPA air purifier.
• Students will be required to partake in pooled COVID testing on Monday mornings (starting on Sept. 13th), before school. This is a self-administered test that swabs the inside of a student's nose (NOT the more uncomfortable "brain swab" type).
• All students will need to sanitize their hands on the way in the building.

This list is not exhaustive; please see the above protocol link for a full list of COVID-specific measures.

Student schedules were published and can be viewed in your student's PowerSchool portal. Student usernames and passwords were emailed directly to each student's school email address. Please check there for details.

9th Grade - BOTH Days, based on individual orientation schedule. If a student dresses up for one of the days (to look extra special :-)) we will make sure to fit them in on that day. Just have your student ask their orientation leader and they will send them down for their photo.

10th Grade - Wednesday, September 8th

11th Grade - Thursday, September 9th

12th Grade - Thursday, September 9th

All students will have their photo taken for school identification cards.

11th and 12th-grade students will be permitted, like last year, to leave campus during lunch, provided they are in good standing and have parent permission through the use of our google form. Dean Brewer will be sending this form to each student's email account. Please submit this form ASAP so your student can partake in off-campus dining. Students will not be permitted to leave without this form filled out by a parent/guardian. Allowing students to leave campus will reduce the number of students in our cafeteria and more easily allow physical distancing.
