Scheduled Emergency Training at Secondary School
On Monday, May 18th, at approximately 6:00 PM, the Annville-Cleona Fire Department will be conducting a scheduled helicopter training exercise on our Secondary School campus.
The training will involve a helicopter landing and taking off from the front field (adjacent to Rt. 934). Please be advised that this is a planned training exercise and not an active emergency. We are proud to partner with our local first responders to provide a safe space for this vital community preparation.
Please Note: Because the participating aircraft and crews remain "in-service" to respond to real-world emergencies, this training may be changed or canceled without notice should an actual emergency arise elsewhere.
Fifth- and Sixth-Grade Math Groupings
For the 2026–2027 school year, fifth- and sixth-grade math classes will be grouped based on students’ current readiness levels. This helps us build strong foundational math skills and better support each child’s learning.
All students will continue to receive high-quality instruction aligned to Pennsylvania state standards and expectations for their grade level. This approach will allow teachers to better meet students where they are—providing extra support when needed and opportunities to extend learning when students are ready.
Student placement will be based on multiple sources of information, including:
STAR Math
Math CDT (Classroom Diagnostic Tool)
Classroom assessments
Teacher input
Using this information, teachers can provide more targeted instruction to help close learning gaps, reinforce skills, and appropriately challenge students.
Our goal is to create a positive math environment where all students can grow, build confidence, and see themselves as successful mathematicians.
