Students will be taking the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Assessment in the area of reading and math during the months of January and February. These assessments are given three times a year. Parents/guardians will receive the results of these assessments at our February 20 and February 22 parent/teacher conferences.

Community Connections this Month

Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools has multiple ways to engage with the District during the month of January. We have a Coffee and Conversation on Jan. 17 at Dunkin' at 1-2:30 p.m. There will also be the State of the Schools and District Information Expo on Jan. 31 at Middle School West at 7 p.m. Check out the flyers for more information on how to join us!

Safety is always a top priority. Our drop off and pick up lines are very busy and there is lot happening at those times. We need your help to make arrival and dismal safe and efficient for all students. Reminders: 1) No cell phone use in the drop off or pick up lines. 2) Turn Signals, please use your turn signals when entering and exiting the school drive ways. 3) If you are parking and walking with your child please park in the lot closest to the baseball fields.

Teachers are currently gathering items for our raffle that will take place during our annual spaghetti dinner on February 8th. If you have a small business that you would like to advertise by donating an item to our raffle please email Mr. Schmidt (schmidts@gjps.org) by Monday, January 15th.
