We truly could not do what we do each day without you. Your support makes a difference in our students’ lives and helps us continue building a school community where every student feels valued, supported, and loved.

Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such an important part of our Majestic Gardens family. We are so grateful for each of you!

With appreciation,
The Majestic Gardens Team 🦁

Ensure you are using the most updated Parent Portal link.

This can be found by going to our website www.lpsfrisco.com > Parent Portal. Or by CLICKING HERE

Be sure that you are using the same login information you used when registering your child. The username and password fields are case sensitive so please keep that in mind.

Lockdown drill

We want to make you aware that our campus will be conducting a lockdown drill on Thursday, October 1.

Please know that this is only a safety drill and there is no actual emergency. These drills are an important part of helping our students and staff practice safety procedures and know how to respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.

We wanted to inform families in advance so you are aware of the drill should your student mention it at home. Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to keep our students and staff safe.

PIK MY KID

We are actively working with PikMyKid's support team to resolve the syncing issue between our student management system and the PikMyKid app. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this.

For the time being, if you do not have a car tag, no worries. Our Staff is aware of this hurdle and is prepared to get your child's name, grade and teacher from you at the carline during dismissal.

As soon as this has been resolved we will send car tags home with any students who have not received one.

Feel free to reach me for any questions or assistance. Sara.Escanlar@LPSFrisco.com

Morning arrival update!

We are going to try something a little different to hopefully alleviate students arriving late. We will continue to have entry in the gym from 7:00 - 7:30. Beginning from 7:20 - 7:30, we will open the front doors for student arrival. When students enter the front doors beginning at 7:20, they will go directly to their classrooms.

Thank you for your feedback and your partnership! We truly appreciate you all!

Campus visitors and volunteers

We are excited to welcome families to campus and provide opportunities for you to enjoy lunch with your student. We also want to share a few important expectations to help us maintain a safe, secure, and focused learning environment for all students.

Lunch Visitors:
Families are welcome to have lunch with their student; however, space is limited. We will do our best to accommodate visitors while also adhering to building occupancy and safety regulations. All lunch visitors must:

  • Check in at the front office upon arrival.
  • Present identification as required by campus procedures.
  • Wear a visitor badge for the entirety of your time in the building.
  • Remain in the designated lunch visitor area.
  • Refrain from escorting students to or from classrooms or other areas of the building.
  • Check out through the front office when leaving campus.

We will continue to monitor this process. If needed, we may implement an advanced sign up if we determine the need.

Volunteers:
We greatly value parent volunteers and the support you provide to our students and staff. Any parent or community member volunteering in classrooms, assisting with copying, or working directly with students must have an approved background check on file and receive prior campus approval before volunteering. Please do not report to a classroom or begin volunteer duties without prior approval from the campus.

These procedures are in place to help us maintain a safe and secure campus while keeping learning our priority. We want our families to feel welcomed while also ensuring that we can account for everyone in the building, maintain appropriate supervision, and protect uninterrupted instructional time for our students.

Thank you for partnering with us and helping us create a campus where safety, learning, and student success come first.

Gifted and Talented Referrals and Screener Information

The Gifted and Talented referral window opens on September 11th and ends 9/25 at 4pm for referring students in grades 1st-11th grade. If you were not able to attend the GT presentation at curriculum night, you can view it HERE.

  • Kindergarten GT screening and assessment will take place in January and February. Please DO NOT complete this form for kindergarten students.

  • If your student is already in the GT program at LPS you do not need to complete this form.

Consistent Early Pick-ups

Every minute of instruction matters! We have noticed an increase in students being picked up early on a regular basis, and we want to remind families that consistent attendance for the entire school day is essential to student success.

When students are picked up before the end of the school day, they miss valuable instructional time, classroom discussions, interventions, and opportunities to practice and apply new learning. Those missed minutes add up quickly over the course of a school year.

Additionally, under Texas attendance requirements, students must be in attendance at least 90% of the school year to receive credit for the school year. Regular early pickups count toward missed instructional time and will impact a student's attendance records. We do NOT allow or support regular early pick ups on our campus.

We understand that occasional appointments or emergencies arise, but we ask families to avoid scheduling routine early dismissals whenever possible. Please schedule what you can to Friday's as we have many of them off from school. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our students are present, engaged, and learning throughout the entire school day.

Fastpacs

MG Elementary Families, We want to make sure every student in our school community has access to the food they need to thrive. Through our partnership with Frisco Fastpacs, eligible families can receive a weekly bag of nutritious, kid-friendly food to help provide additional support at home. If your family could benefit from this program, we encourage you to complete the Frisco Fastpacs application. Participation is confidential, and our goal is simply to connect families with resources that can help. https://www.friscofastpacs.org/receive-fastpacs If you have questions or need assistance completing the application, please reach out to me. I am happy to help! Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in supporting the well-being and success of your child.

Walkers

For families choosing Walker dismissal, students are currently dismissed from the front doors at 3:55 p.m. Parents/authorized adults should meet their student at the designated walker area at the front of the school.

To help ensure the safety of our youngest students, we will be holding our Kindergarten and 1st grade walkers a little longer before releasing them from the front doors. This additional time will allow our staff to monitor students and help ensure they are able to safely connect with their parent or authorized adult. If your student is a walker, we do not have a student check out. If you prefer a check out, the carpool is your option. If parents are consistently late for walker pick up, you will no longer be able to be considered a walker and must pick up in the carpool lanes.

We appreciate your patience and partnership as we continue to refine our dismissal procedures and, most importantly, keep our students safe.

School Supplies

School supplies are available for purchase until October 2nd! Here is the breakdown:

Student Classroom Supplies $61.00; Class T-shirts $8.00; Field Trips $100.00 ;Field Day $5.00;

Total Kinder - 5th Grade Fee $172.00

Invoices have recently been sent. If you already paid at Meet the Teacher, please know, you do not have to pay again!!!! We will rescind your invoice once we update our list very soon. If you have not already paid, you will need to make your payment through the app or the website: MySchoolBucks.

If the app is not working for you, the website should be working from the feedback we have been getting from families.

Supply fees must be paid by October 2, 2026 or your child will NOT be permitted to attend any of their scheduled field trips until paid in full or receive a class shirt.

Payment plans must be requested, and the initial payment made prior to the October 2, 2026 due date.

Scholarships are available for those who qualify. Please contact Sara Escanlar at sara.escanlar@lpsfrisco.com.

Student Expectations

Please review the Parent/Student handbook prior to the first day of school. HERE is the UPDATED link. You can access information regarding:

  • Attendance
  • Uniform expectations
  • Technology
  • Student code of conduct
  • And so much more!

We will NOT have additional clothing on hand for students to change into during the school day if needed. Parents, you will need to ensure your student is in dress code everyday as well as provide additional items for students or you will be called to drop off items or pick up your student.

Arrival and Dismissal

Our doors open for drop off at 7:00am each day in the gym, students K-5. All students will enter the building through the gym doors on the south side of the building only. Students will follow their regular schedule each day. Dismissal is at 3:55 pm everyday. Please see more information below regarding our new process for dismissal with PikMyKid as we are diligently working to streamline our process.

PLEASE AVOID ENTERING THE DRIVEWAY DIRECTLY FROM MAIN STREET FOR ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL! BACKING UP MAIN STREET IS BECOMING AN ISSUE!

Thank you all for your patience and for working with us to streamline our process as our goal is efficiency but more importantly safety!

Updates, MUST READ!

The safety of our students is our top priority, and we need the participation of ALL families to ensure arrival and dismissal run safely and efficiently each day. Please review the traffic routes below and enter the car rider line as indicated in the image. Following the designated routes helps keep traffic moving and creates a safer environment for everyone.

As we begin the school year, please be patient with us during the first few weeks. Students, families, and staff are all learning and adjusting to the procedures together. Your cooperation and flexibility are greatly appreciated as we work to establish smooth routines.

Arrival & Dismissal Reminders

Please help us by following these important expectations:

  • Remain in your vehicle at all times while in the carpool line. NEVER park and get out of your car while in the carpool line. This is a drive though line ONLY where cars should NEVER be parked.

  • Students must be able to unbuckle/buckle seatbelts and exit/enter the vehicle with little to no assistance. If you feel that your student needs assistance, you may park in a designated parking spot to assist them but NOT in the carpool lane.

  • Students must enter and exit the vehicle from the PASSENGER SIDE ONLY for everyone's safety.
  • Students may NOT be dropped off or picked up on Majestic Gardens Drive at any time. YOU are risking YOUR student's safety by doing so. Student entry is only allowed at the front of the building.
  • Students are only able to access designated entry/exits during arrival and dismissal.
  • Families requesting "walker" dismissal must provide proof of residency within one-half (½) mile of the school. Students will only be designated as walkers AFTER approval from the campus. This must be YOUR residence that is on record, not a friend or family member.
  • At this time, we are NOT permitting parent "walk ups" as our students are dismissed from inside the building.
  • You MUST have your dismissal car tag displayed while in the carpool line. If you do not have your tag, you must park in a designated parking spot and enter the building with your drivers license/passport. We will be printing an additional car tag for each student within the first few weeks of school.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students safe and make arrival and dismissal a positive experience for everyone. Working together, we can ensure a smooth start to the school year!

PikMyKid App

We will be using a new app this year for dismissal called Pikmykid. Below is a video and the parents information guide. We hope that this will be an easy transition and help with the dismissal process. Please review prior to the first day of school for a smooth transition. We truly believe this will make our process more safe and more smooth moving forward. See map below.

Snacks and water bottles

Water Bottles

To help maintain a safe and clean learning environment, all students need a spill-proof water bottle each day. This helps prevent spills that can create safety hazards and disrupt instruction.

Snacks

Students may bring a healthy, dry, and easy-to-eat snack for designated snack times. Choosing simple, mess-free snacks helps students quickly refuel while minimizing distractions and keeping our classrooms clean. Snack items should be easy to open by the student and not include utensils or preparation. We also prefer to avoid peanut products in the classrooms as well.

Some snack suggestions include: protein bars, dried fruit, goldfish, etc.

After School Care

If you are unable to pick up your child by 3:55 p.m., we encourage you to enroll in our after-school care program. Our teachers and staff dedicate long hours each day to supporting student learning and are not able to provide supervision beyond the end of the instructional day. Enrolling in after-school care helps ensure your child is safely supervised while also allowing our staff to conclude their workday as scheduled. We appreciate your partnership in helping us maintain a safe and efficient dismissal process.
