HUSKY HIGHLIGHTS
Hinesburg Community School - 3/6/2026 πΎ
THE PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear HCS Parents and Caregivers,
As we've seen with the two recent power outages at HCS, being able to quickly share time-sensitive safety information with parents is extremely important. We understand that most parents are not constantly monitoring email throughout the day, so having the option to receive a short text message for urgent updates can make a big difference.
Currently, only about 15% of HCS parents have opted in to receive text messages. We encourage all parents and guardians to consider opting in so you can receive important alerts about school events, safety notifications, and possible school closings directly on your phone.
How to Opt In to Receive HCS Text Messages
- Open the text messaging app on your mobile phone.
- Start a new text message.
- In the βToβ field, enter 67587.
- In the message, type Y or Yes.
- Press Send.
Once you complete these steps, you will begin receiving text alerts from HCS through the SchoolMessenger system.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. Your information will remain secure and will never be sold or shared.
Thank you,
Tim, Alexis and Alicia
