Safe Food Saves Future
Newsletter #1 - December 15th, 2025
Tรผrkiye, Italy, and Greece are implementing the Erasmus+ "Safe Food Saves Future" 2025-1-TR01-KA210-YOU-000354927 project, co-funded by the Turkish National Agency and the European Union, to take action on food safety and sustainability. So what does this project include? Here are the 3 key perspectives our project focuses on:
Food Safety: We question and learn how safe the food we consume is from production to fork.
The Right to Access Healthy Food: We advocate for every young person and individual to have access to healthy, nutritious food.
Slow Food and Sustainability: Against the "fast-food" culture, we embrace the "Slow Food" movement, which supports environmentally conscious, local, and informed consumption.
๐ What Will We Do? In this 14month journey, we are taking our steps as follows:
๐ Curriculum Development
We have begun developing comprehensive and innovative training content for youth workers on food safety and healthy eating.
๐ฑ Digital Toolkit Production
We are designing a digital learning platform consisting of gamified modules, videos, and interactive content that will engage young people.
๐ฎ๐น Trainer Training for Youth Workers
We are conducting international training in Bologna, Italy, the birthplace of Slow Food, to enhance the capacities of youth workers.
๐ Healthy Food Campaign
We are making our voice heard across Europe with podcast series, webinars, 2D animations, and social media content.
๐ค Local Youth Workshops
We are meeting face-to-face with young people in each partner country -Turkey, Italy, Greece- and preparing the "Food Safety Declaration".
We are thinking with local producers, young people, and everyone who eats!
Online Kick off Meeting !
The project officially launched with an online kick-off meeting on the 4th of December 2025, bringing together all partners to align on its vision, objectives, and key activities. The meeting set a shared framework for collaboration, covering the project timeline, core activities, and communication approach. Partners also discussed visibility, digital dissemination, and long-term sustainability. The online format supported green travel practices, reducing the environmental footprint while ensuring inclusive participation across countries.
