NEW: SB12 Updates

Carroll ISD continues to implement new policies as a result of the 89th Texas Legislative Session. In compliance with SB 12, the District has sent all parents and guardians an OPT OUT form outlining which health-related services, such as first aid, health screenings, and wellness education, may be provided to students. Parents who wish to OPT OUT must submit the form by October 24; no action is needed if you wish for your student to receive these services.

VATRE Town Hall Meetings

If you haven’t signed up yet, we invite you to attend one of our upcoming VATRE town hall meetings. We will host a total of 15 throughout September and October. You can sign up for one of the four community-wide meetings here, or check the campus-specific schedule on our website (RSVP is not required for campus meetings).

The following classes will receive extra recess for their outstanding behavior during lunch!

Kindergarten - Mrs. Jennings

1st Grade - Mrs. Munn, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Whitney

2nd Grade - Mrs. Corso and Mrs. Bonus

3rd Grade - Mrs. Clegg

4th Grade - Mrs. Fielder

Overall Winner for K-4 - Congratulations Mrs. Fielder! They will receive a popsicle party!

Mrs. Eads & Mrs. Peipert are excited to offer SciArt Club to 3rd & 4th grade students at CES! In SciArt Club, students will get to participate in fun activities that combine both science & art.

We will meet after school on Thursdays from 3-3:30pm for two different six-week sessions. The first session will begin on October 16th and the second session will begin on January 22nd. Each session will be limited to 20 students. We ask that you sign your child up for one session, so that we can offer the opportunity for more students to participate in the club.

If you are interested in signing your child up for SciArt Club, please review the attachment & use the links below to sign up! You can also find all of the information on our Encore Newsletter. Information about pick-up & permissions will be sent the week prior to the start of each session.

Please DO NOT drop your children off before 7:20. At 7:20 the cafe doors will open. Please have your children stay in your car until we are able to supervise. Also, if you are here after 7:40, we ask that you walk your child in and sign them in for the day. We really appreciate your cooperation with this safety procedure.

1. The CES school zone times are from 7:10 -7:50 am & 2:50 – 3:30 pm

During this time the posted speed limit is 20 mph and cell phone use is posted on multiple signs to be prohibited. Please abide by this as citations can and will be issued for violations.

2. When lining up for dismissal Pre K and last names A-J proceed in the right lane to the back parking lot to line up. Last names K-Z will line up serpentine through the front / north parking lot. Please DO NOT leave large spaces between cars, we are stacking as many cars as possible for efficient pick up in the carpool lines and to eliminate traffic on Continental.

3. There is NO PARKING ever in the fire lanes, especially during large school events!

Join the Award-Winning Emerald Belles on Saturday, October 25th from 1-4p at Carroll Senior High School for the Junior Belle Clinic and Workshop including grades K-8! This will also feature a Performance at Dragon Stadium on October 30th! Dancers receive training, a commemorative photo button and a T-shirt for the performance night. Snacks are provided.

K-4 Clinic $55

5-8 Workshop $85

Online registration through 10/17 at Emeraldbelles.com; Walk up registration is available day of event for an increased fee. (T-shirt size not guaranteed)

Doors open at 12:30p, showoff performance at 3:45p and then performance night at Dragon Stadium on October 30th.

We are excited to inform you that our school has enrolled with STOPit!

STOPit is an online reporting tool designed to deter and mitigate bullying, cyber abuse, and other inappropriate behaviors, consisting of an app and a back-end incident management system for school administrators.
