Ribbon Cutting

Look what THE LORD has done!

On Wednesday, July 30th CCS celebrated an incredible milestone with a Ribbon Cutting at the Beech Avenue campus. This event highlighted a significant step in our growth and continued mission to provide a Christ-centered education opportunity for families in the area.

What began as 68 students in 2007 has now grown to over 325 students enrolled for the fall semester. We are rejoicing in the blessings that God has provided over the years and we are so excited to see what He has in store for the future!

Campus Clean Up Day

On Saturday, August 2nd (....technically not July, but too good to not mention) parents, students, and staff worked on several campus projects to prepare the Beech Avenue campus for the beginning of school. Every space had someone working on a much needed task! A lot was accomplished! We still have more to do, but this day was such a blessing to get a large part of it finished.

***We will post projects in the weekly newsletter, The ROAR, this year as they arrise.***

Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered!

A Few Other Things from the Month of July A Few Other Things from the Month of July

  • Hiring of new faculty and staff was in full swing. God has blessed us with some really good ones!
  • The last wave of new enrollments finished up. Total enrollment for the fall will be just under 330 students.
  • A few more families took advantage of the Uniform Yard Sale inventory. We have enough left that we will be able to keep some emergency pieces on hand at school. Thank you to all who donated!
  • Several homeschool families were able to get some great curriculum items from our outgoing inventory.
  • Recent graduate, Andrew Jones was recognized at the Cullman County Sports Hall of Fame annual banquet where he received our first scholarship with the organization. The scholarship was the Colossians 3:23 Scholarship --- "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men."
  • Coaches attended the AHSAA rules clinic conference in Montgomery.
  • Mr. Yearwood and the board of directors have been discussing next steps for campus improvements after the purchase of the Beech Avenue property.
  • We have 3 new CCS backdrop banners in the gym. Make sure you take a picture with your friends when you visit.
  • Class Ambassadors have been serving for events. Next week they will be helping with Preschool & Kindergarten Readiness and both Open House nights.
  • New lighting in the basement area has been installed.
  • Lots of projects were completed during the Campus Clean Up Day including: steps from the playground to the deck, fresh paint in the lobby, new air filters in classroom units, shelving and reorganization in the storage trailers, and much more!

Preschool & Kindergarten Readiness Camp

Preschool and Kindergarten teachers are already dreaming and planning for 2025-26. Enrolled students to our annual Readiness Camp this summer! This two-day event is a fun and relaxed way for children to get a feel for school before the year officially starts.

Over the course of the two mornings, students will have the chance to explore the school building, meet their teacher, make new friends, try out some fun classroom activities, and get a glimpse of what a typical school day will be like.
