The Agree to Agree Project bridges the gap between school and home. The agreement
process strives to ensure that when students are online, whether inside or outside the

protected and ultimately given the opportunity to learn and grow with digital
technologies in a safe and supervised environment.

Seactain na Gaeilge
5th & 6th Class Tráth na gCeist – Coole National School
We had a great time last Tuesday visiting Coole National School for the Tráth na gCeist! Pupils from Moynalvey school were also in attendance. The boys and girls really enjoyed the outing and should be very proud of how well they got on answering the ceisteanna. A sincere thank you to the parents who ensured both classes had transport to and from the event — it was greatly appreciated!
Lá Fhéile Pádraig & Seachtain na Gaeilge 🍀
What a wonderful day we had celebrating Lá Fhéile Pádraig! The school was awash with green for our Lá Glas and the atmosphere was fantastic. Despite the terrible weather outside, it did nothing to dampen our spirits as we enjoyed a brilliant céilí in the hall together. The children also gave a brilliant rendition of our national anthem, Amhrán na bhFiann, which they had been ag cleachtadh all week. A huge thank you to all of our brilliant teachers for everything they put into this week's celebrations — We all had a wonderful time! 🎶☘️
Inclusion & Friendship Week at Dangan

Throughout the week, the children will also enjoy whole-school activities like our Positivity Tree, Walk & Talk buddies, and a "Where Everyone Belongs" Gallery Walk on Friday.

School Meals — Update for Parents
We were very much looking forward to launching our School Meals Programme and had hoped it would be up and running by now. Unfortunately, we have encountered an unexpected delay outside of our control.
Due to an insufficient electricity supply currently coming into the school, we are awaiting a necessary upgrade from ESB Networks. This upgrade is required to support the use of two ovens which will be used to heat the children's meals each day.
We are pleased to share that, as a school, we have been assured that we will be given priority status for this upgrade, and we are hopeful that it will be completed very soon, allowing the School Meals Programme to commence without further delay.
It is important to note that everything else is in place and ready to go — it is simply this electrical upgrade that we are waiting on.
We will continue to keep all parents and students updated as soon as we have further news, and we very much look forward to this wonderful initiative getting underway for our school.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. 🙏

Supporting your Child's School Attendance -Advice from Tusla
How Parents Can Help Make
Every School Day Count: (Advice from Tusla)
- Establish a good routine in the mornings and evenings so your child is prepared for the school day ahead.
- Make sure your child goes to school regularly and follows the school rules.
- Ensure your child arrives at school on time – not late.
- Arrange dental and medical appointments outside school hours when possible.
- Always inform the school if your child is absent due to illness – this should be followed up with a written note when your child returns to school.
- Take truancy seriously – if your child is not attending school as you expect they may be putting themselves at risk – Who are they with? What are they doing?
- Take family holidays outside term time.
- Talk to your child about school and take an interest in their school work (including homework).
- Attend parent evenings and school events.
- Praise and reward your child’s achievements at school.
- Always support school staff in their efforts to control difficult or challenging behaviour.
- Discuss any problems or difficulties with the school – staff are there to help and will be supportive
