Stronger Schools Start with Strong Family Connections
November is Family Engagement Month, a time to recognize the important role families play in helping students learn, grow and succeed.
Ingham ISD partners with neighboring Intermediate School Districts (ISDs) and Regional Educational Service Agencies (RESAs) to help local school districts build stronger connections with families. Through training and shared resources, we support schools in creating welcoming environments where families feel connected and involved in their children's education.
Family engagement is about more than attending school events. It's about building relationships, keeping communication open and making sure families have a voice in their child's education. When families and schools work together, students benefit from improved attendance, stronger academic success and a greater sense of belonging.
This November, we celebrate the families, educators and community partners who work together every day to help students succeed!
Wilson Talent Center Cybersecurity Students Recognized at Statewide Summit
Twenty Wilson Talent Center Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics students recently traveled to Novi to attend the Michigan High School Cyber Summit 2026, where they learned from industry experts and explored real-world cybersecurity challenges.
Students heard from keynote speaker Rachel Wilson, Managing Director and Chief Data Officer at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and former National Security Agency (NSA) senior executive. She shared insights into international cyber threats and the importance of protecting critical infrastructure.
Leading up to the summit, students had the opportunity to compete in the Michigan Cybersecurity High School Challenge, a Capture the Flag competition hosted by Hack The Box. Of the 80 teams registered, WTC's "Qualified Quartet" was the first of only three teams to successfully complete every challenge!
Congratulations to Bradley P., Paskalis Z., Sam R. and Chase G. on their outstanding achievement! The team was recognized with medals during the summit, with classmate Ryan K. accepting Chase's award on his behalf.

Join Us for a Veterans Day Parade
Join us on Friday, November 6, as we come together to honor our veterans during Ingham ISD's annual Veterans Day Parade!
The parade will begin with a lap around the Beekman Center at 11:10 am. Participants will then travel to the Mason campus, where the parade will resume around 12:10 pm, passing Heartwood School, North Star School and the Wilson Talent Center. Community members are encouraged to make a sign, gather along the parade route and help us celebrate those who have served our country!
Want to honor a veteran in your life? Complete our Veterans Day recognition form below to have North Star School students place a flag in their honor on our Mason campus. Last year, we recognized 466 veterans, and we hope to honor even more this year!
