Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
October 17, 2025
Lutherville Families,
We're still riding the high of Fall Family Night! Thank you to all who came out and we a part of the fun! These events are a big lift for our staff to plan and execute in addition to regular duties, and it is always so worth it when we have our community together for these joyful nights.
A special thank you goes out to the staff, families, and community members who invested their time and treasure to once again have an outstanding cultural fair. We want to publicly share our gratitude for the following families for preparing and representing:
Canada - Boecker Family
Costa Rica - Loria McKenzie Family & Loria Family
Ireland - Mrs. Feltman & Mr. McComb
Japan - Yamauchi Family, Nishida Family, & Emam Family
Mexico - Gonzalez Diaz Family & Landa Family
Nigeria - Oludara Family & Ojo Family
Pakistan - Saadia Khan w/ the Leitzau Family
Philippines - Britania Family & Mrs. Hildebrand
Puerto Rico - Gella Family & Estevez-Gonzalez Family
If you can believe it, we are entering the final two weeks of the first quarter of the school year! Parents are encouraged to check their child's Schoology Summary (emailed by the school system each Friday) and work with their child to complete any missing assignments and encourage their best effort every day. This is a key learning partnership!
On October 31st, we will hold our traditional Primary Parade for students in Grades K-2 in the morning after arrival. An alternative fall themed activity will be provided for students who do not wish to participate, just let your child's homeroom teacher know. Participating students are encouraged to wear costumes to school and bring a change of clothes with them. Please ensure that face masks and look-alike weapons remain at home. We will be eating lunch on 10/31, with the 1:05 dismissal (ketchup on the costume you may be planning to have your child wear that evening is a possibility if they don't have a change. Just saying.). Family members are welcome to park along Franke Ave and visit the parade, which is targeted to begin at about 9:40am.
In partnership,
-Mr. McComb

BCPS Seeks Budget Feedback
As BCPS works on developing the recommended operating budget for Fiscal Year 2027 over the next few months, it is important to receive input from the Team BCPS community. The school system will use the survey feedback to help guide the construction of the budget. This will be another challenging budget cycle for BCPS and school systems across the state with the continued expansion and implementation of the Blueprint and probable lower federal, state, and local revenue. Please complete the survey by October 31, 2025.
