Principal's Corner
Dear Families,
This week, we’ll be celebrating Red Ribbon Week, a national campaign focused on encouraging students to make healthy and positive choices. Throughout the week, our Roadrunners will participate in themed dress-up days and classroom activities that promote living drug-free and staying safe. Thank you for helping us reinforce this important message at home!
With Halloween just around the corner, we also want to remind families to keep safety in mind, whether trick-or-treating in the neighborhood or attending community events. Please remind your children to stay visible, walk with an adult or group, and be mindful of traffic when crossing streets.
In addition, we’d like to share a few important reminders for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up to help keep everyone safe:
- Follow the posted speed limit and drive cautiously through the parking lot and school zone.
- Avoid U-turns in front of the school — they are dangerous and not permitted.
- Do not park in “No Parking” zones or block driveways and crosswalks.
- Always use designated crosswalks and encourage your child to do the same.
- The front drop-off area is reserved for buses, CRC students, and daycare vans only.
We appreciate your continued partnership in keeping our campus and community safe.

Red Ribbon Week!
From October 27–31, we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week, a nationwide campaign that encourages students to make healthy, safe, and drug-free choices. This is a wonderful opportunity to build awareness and empower our children to make positive decisions for their future.
Attached you will find our Red Ribbon Week Dress Up Days flyer. Each day has a fun theme, and we encourage all students to participate and show their school spirit while learning about the importance of making good choices.
Please note: Friday, October 31, will be a half day of school.
Thank you for your support in helping us guide our students toward a healthy and successful path!

Wall of Honor
It’s that special time of year when we come together to thank and honor the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country. We will be creating a Wall of Honor to recognize all of our Roadrunner veterans and active-duty military members. Families are invited to participate by filling out a white blank brick (attached below or available in the front office) and including a photo of your veteran or service member. You may submit more than one brick if you have multiple family members to honor. Examples of completed bricks are attached for your reference. We also invite our Roadrunner veterans and active-duty members to join us for our Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, November 10 at 8:45 a.m. in the cafeteria. Thank you for helping us celebrate and recognize the heroes within our Roadrunner family.
