Our KY HEARS team provided free hearing screenings to visitors, vendors, and workers attending the North American International Livestock Exposition at the KY Exposition Center. With so much noise exposure in agricultural settings, this event gave us a great opportunity to educate people about the importance of hearing protection while providing our five-minute screenings to anyone interested!

We delivered full, free hearing tests to students, helping identify early signs of hearing difficulties that might affect their learning. Our audiology resident, Kaylie, also took an ear mold to order a pair of hearing aids for one of the students that had some loss!

KY HEARS joined our partner, Dale Dobson and Raising Hope, again to offer free hearing checks while teaching attendees about safe listening practices—especially around loud farm equipment. We were so grateful for FFA students (Future Farmers of America) for helping us in any way they could and providing us with a delicious breakfast!

We continued our mission to support underserved communities by returning to Johnson County Health Department to offer free hearing tests and hearing healthcare education! Thank you so much to the health department for giving us their space to do our work and being so accommodating.
