Semester Two - Behavior Reminders
Redwood ASB is thrilled to welcome Keith Hawkins to Vikingville this month. Keith is a renowned speaker who has visited many CVUSD middle and high school sites. We are excited to hear from Keith and learn about kindness and treating one another with respect. Redwood will be on an assembly day bell schedule to accommodate this school assembly.
- In addition to the kindness assembly this month administration will be visiting all math classes for a behavior expectations refresher this month.
- Please be reminded that we expect students to follow basic practices to keep our campus safe and welcoming. All students are expected to keep their hands to themselves, use academic language only, and not exclude others. These basic expectations among others, will be reviewed with students during their math class this month.
- Families can review the behavior expectations in the RMS Student Handbook available on the school website or by clicking HERE
Semester 1 Honor Roll
Semester one grades will post live on Q Connect Friday, January 16th. After grades are live, honor roll certificates for grade 6-8 will be distributed. Honor roll recognizes students earning a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 during semester 1. Not sure how to calculate your gpa? See below.
- Get Your Grade Points: Look at your semester report card on Q Connect to determine how many points your earn for each class. Each letter grade correlates to a numerical value (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0).
- Sum Totals: Add up all your total quality points.
- Divide: Divide your total quality points by the number of classes taken (ex: students take 6 classes typically) to get your GPA.
