Help prevent spread of illness
Respiratory illness season is around the corner. And this is a great time for us to be reminding ourselves and our children about the healthy hygiene habits that keep us healthy!
Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds.
Cover coughs and sneezes with an elbow.
Stay home when sick.
Get plenty of rest, stay hydrated, and eat nutritious foods.
Clean frequently touched surfaces.
For guidance on when to keep your child home , visit Is My Child Well Enough to Go to School?.
Our Health Office staff are always available to answer questions and support students who become ill during the school day. Thank you for helping keep our school community healthy!

Popcorn Celebration
A few times in the year, we wish to celebrate building-wide milestones with a special experience - a popcorn party! Please see the nutrition label attached. If you wish to send in an alternative snack for your student, please complete this form by November 2, 2026. The front office will reach out to those families that wish to send an alternative prior to the date of a planned popcorn party so an alternative can be sent to school.
Hearing and Vision Screening
On November 11th the school nurse will be conducting Hearing and Vision screening for all kindergartners. If a referral is needed, the health office will contact you directly. If you have further questions please reach out to Libby Johnson in the health office at 651-621-8004 or elizabethf.johnson@moundsviewschools.org.

Farm to School Thursdays
This Farm to School Thursday, students enjoyed cheese curds from Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery and potatoes from Hugh’s Garden. Cheese provides calcium to help build strong bones, while potatoes provide potassium, an essential nutrient.
