Club Expectations πΊ
We are excited to begin Cougar Clubs! To keep clubs safe, fun, and positive, students must follow the Cougar Code by being respectful, responsible, and safe.
Being on time is especially important. Beginning September 21, 2027, school tardies will count toward club eligibility. Students may lose their spot after five school tardies, two late arrivals to a before-school club, two late pick-ups from an after-school club, or three behavior incidents. If a student is removed, the spot will be offered to someone on the waitlist.
Thank you for helping your child arrive on time and be ready to participate!
Join Us for SEPAC/BPAC! π
District 123 families are invited to our SEPAC/BPAC meeting on Thursday, September 24, from 6:00β7:30 PM at the District Office. Come connect with other families, share ideas, and learn how we can work together to support our bilingual, English Learner, and special education programs. Please RSVP by September 23. Pizza will be provided for students! Scan the QR code on the flyer or visit link.d123.org/sepacbpac092426 to register.
Parent Mentor Program π
Covington Elementary is excited to share that we were chosen by Arab American Family Services (AAFS) to start a Parent Mentor Program. Parent/Guardians can work in a classroom for two hours a day with a paid stipend at the end of each semester of $1,500.00. 100 hours must be completed to receive the stipend. Training and support are provided by AAFS. Arab American heritage is not a requirement for participation. The program is open to all families who are interested in the opportunity.
If you are interested in applying, please email Amber Kenis, Associate Principal at akenis@d123.org. She will give your name to AAFS for a possible screening/interview. Training can begin as early as next-week with the work hours in the classroom beginning at the beginning of October.
