AUTUMN TERM - 4th SEPTEMBER 2025
Message from the Executive Head Teacher and the Head of School
A hearty welcome back to HPP and the new academic year. I hope you all had a restful break and were able to have some quality time together. The children looked resplendent in their new uniforms and they were looking happy and eager to return to school as they arrived. The staff have been back since Monday and are absolutely ready to welcome the children. We are pleased that the new staff have settled in so quickly and hit the ground running.
Please ensure you have checked the Autumn term dates which will be coming up this term.
Tomorrow we look forward to welcoming parents of the classes in year 1 and 2, the classrooms will be open to parents for a visit from 3pm to 3.30pm. Please enter from the playground doors.
Welcome meetings will take place on :-
Year 1 Tuesday 9th September @ 2.30pm - 3pm
Year 2 Wednesday 10th September @ 2.30pm - 3pm
This term. HISN has welcomed Mrs Anna Gale as our new Head of School, she joins myself and Mr James as a member of the Executive Leadership team.
Mrs Gale's reflections on the start of term:-
It has been a real pleasure to start the new term and feel so warmly welcomed by everyone at Hampton Infants and Nursery. I have felt immense pride this week watching the children come in wearing their uniforms with big smiles and lots of enthusiasm.
It was lovely to see Year 1 and Year 2 children settling so well and joining in beautifully during assembly. Our Nursery children have been enjoying their ‘Stay and Play’ sessions, building confidence whilst meeting Miss Dowden and Mrs Newman. Meanwhile, our Reception teachers have been out and about completing their home visits, getting to know each child and family in a supportive and personal way. It’s been a fantastic start, and I’m really looking forward to the term ahead!
We are looking forward to welcoming all the new reception children over the next week.
If you are interested in volunteering in school on a regular basis, please attend one of our parent volunteer meetings on the following dates:
Hampton Infant School: Friday 26th September 9 - 10am
Hampton Junior School: Thursday 18th September 9 - 10am
Full details regarding volunteering in school will be given at these meetings.
Finally, thanks to all those families whose child returned with Pritt Sticks and black whiteboard pens, links below. Please send them in if you haven't yet.
