Thank you for the opportunity to serve the children, families, and taxpayers of the Upper Darby School District. As part of the School Board communication plan, the Board sends monthly updates to the school community. The information included in these briefs is not intended to be complete and does not replace official Board minutes. Official meeting minutes, agendas, reports, and presentations are available at BoardDocs. Also, the Board meetings are live streamed to the District's Official UDSD Board & Board Committee Meetings YouTube Channel. We welcome you to follow the issues the School Board is considering and to attend meetings to stay informed.

Possible Senkow/Aronimink Merger (FAQ)

The District has prepared a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document about the possible closure of Walter M. Senkow Elementary School and possible merger with Aronimink Elementary School. This document will be updated periodically.

February Meeting Highlights

District Calendar for 2023-24 - Approved

The District Calendar for the 2023-24 school year, including holidays and in-service days, has been adopted. The one-page calendar can be found HERE.

Construction Management Services for Clifton Heights Middle School Project - Contract Awarded

New Road Construction Management Company, Inc. has been awarded management of the Clifton Heights Middle School project moving forward. This will help to keep the project on the best possible timeline.

Bus Camera System Upgrade

The Board approved an agreement with Pro-Vision Solutions, LLC to furnish and install new cameras, recorders, and software on buses and vans. This will provide improved security and information systems to our drivers and administrators.

Board members are volunteers and have a deep desire to serve children, a strong belief in the value of public education and a deep professional respect for the District staff who serve our children and their families every day.
