Board of Management Vacancy
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am writing to inform you that following the resignation of a parent representative from our Board of Management, it is now necessary to elect a new parent nominee to fill this position. The outgoing parent is no longer a parent of a child in the school, and in accordance with the Governance Manual for Primary Schools 2023–2027, such parents are no longer eligible to serve on the Board. This vacancy must therefore be filled through an election.
The election meeting will take place in the school on:
📅 Friday, 3rd October 2025
📍 [School Halla]
🕒 [1.45 p.m.]
This meeting will also coincide with the Annual General Meeting of the Parents’ Group, which will be held on the same day.
At the election meeting, nominations will be sought from parents/guardians to fill the vacant mothers’ panel seat on the Board of Management. All parents/guardians are warmly invited to attend, to nominate, and to vote in this important process.
Your participation ensures that the Board continues to benefit from strong parental representation, which is central to the effective governance of our school community.
We look forward to seeing you on the day.
Yours sincerely,
Eileen Kelly
Principal / Secretary to the Board of Management

You must place an order for your child’s meals each week via the app.

-
Recurring Orders:

If you would like to keep the same menu for the following week, please make sure you:
-
Select the “Recurring Order” option(Picture 1).

-
Please note: The “Save” step is essential – without it, your recurring order will not be applied. This has been catching people out recently.

Update from Glanmore Foods re: Egg Allergy
A letter from Quality Control.
We would like to inform you of a temporary menu change. For approximately the next 6 weeks, due to a shortage with our supplier, our usual fish fingers will be substituted with a fish patty.
Please note that this substitute product contains egg and therefore the allergen information differs from our usual fish fingers, which do not contain egg.
Parents/guardians who have previously made us aware of their child / children suffering from an egg allergy have been notified via email today of the menu change. If a pupil with an egg allergy has an order for fish fingers over the coming weeks their parent/guardian should update their order in our app as soon as possible.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
Kind regards,
Anne Brady

Help Us Reuse for Art! (Green Schools Initiative)
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of our work with Green Schools, we are learning how to care for our environment by
reducing waste and reusing materials.
We would love your help collecting items we can use in art lessons, things you might
already have at home and no longer need. This will help us be creative while also helping the
planet!
Here are some examples of what we’re looking for:
Paint and Colour
Unused art paints, pencils, colours or crayons (unwanted but in good condition)
Fabric & Fibre:
Wool, ribbon, string, buttons
Small bits of fabric, felt, or old materials for cutting
Age-appropriate old magazines and newspapers (for colláge)
Decorative or patterned paper or card.
Old seasonal card covers (e.g. Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, Valentine’s Day, etc.)
Construction:
Shoes boxes, tubes, egg cartons
Clean food cans or trays (like yogurt or fruit trays – well washed please!)
Bottle caps, lids, tinfoil, paper, bubble wrap
Masking tape
Print:
Sponges, corks, string, bubble wrap or items with interesting textures.
Please make sure anything you send in is clean and safe to use. Children can bring donations
in to school any day over the next few weeks.
Thank you for supporting our work with Green Schools and helping us make art in a fun,
eco-friendly way!
Kind regards,
Ms. Conran
