Our school has an awesome wireless speaker system that is used for assemblies, pep rallies, and events... and we're looking for a few volunteers we can train to set up the system for our BIG events (including 5th grade promotion)!

We have a simple checklist attached directly to the system's cart to walk you through the steps, but as the school staff is often doing other things during these important events, the PTO always tries to support with sound system help.

This does NOT mean you need to attend every event... we're looking to expand our "this awesome parent knows how to work it" team so we can spread out the support!

1. Do not block the crosswalk.

2. Slow down in the school zone.

3. No cellphone usage while driving.

4. Do not park in the bus loop (7:45-3:30pm).

5. Do not park in red zones, you will be towed.

The Tustin Public Schools Foundation’s Summer Academy is now open!

The Academy features engaging classes created and taught by our very own Tustin Unified teachers, designed for students entering TK through high school. It’s a great opportunity for students to explore new interests, build skills, and enjoy learning in a fun and supportive environment.

Our camp is designed for 3rd–8th grade students of all skill levels and is led by our Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Jonathan Antolin, the Tustin Basketball Staff, and Tustin Basketball Players. Whether your child is just getting started or looking to improve their game, this camp provides a positive, structured, and engaging environment.

• Location: Tustin High School Pavilion
• Session 1: June 1–4 | 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
• Session 2: June 8–11 | 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
• Cost: $150 per camper

This camp is a great way for your child to stay active, make new friends, and grow both on and off the court in a supportive and high-energy setting.

We know... there's SO much info that comes out from the school and the PTO - that's why we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get the news YOU need.

1) This "Husky Howl" newsletter comes out every Friday from Mrs. Vela - with news directly from the school. You'll receive a notification about this from Parent Square!

2) "Tails from the Bark Side" comes out every Monday by email from the PTO and includes the week-at-a-glance - and they are archived on our site so you can catch past issues if you missed something. This is your BEST reminder to find out deadlines and events that are coming up THIS week. (Not getting this email? Contact communications@hickscanyon.org)

3) "Hump Day Happenings" comes out Wednesdays from the PTO with some mid-week reminders. It also includes a heads up for NEXT week.

4) Husky Happenings is always available - an at-a-glance view of what's to come for the month. The PTO also provides a hard copy calendar that goes out at the start of each month - and there's a QR code right in the corner to get more details too! Be sure to keep the website link handy for whenever you wonder "hey, is that coming up?"
