What is Brisk Teaching?

Brisk Teaching is an AI-powered online platform and Chrome extension designed specifically to help teachers save time and enhance their teaching.

There are a ton of AI tools, especially ones designed for education, that are out there, but I find Brisk to be there when I need it to there since it works off of a Chrome extension. Its tools work seamlessly with Google Docs, Slides, Forms, YouTube, and more to create lesson plans, quizzes, presentations, rubrics, progress reports, and personalized student feedback. Teachers can also use Brisk to adjust reading levels, inspect student writing processes, generate curriculum materials, and manage administrative tasks, all within the tools they already use. Plus, a lot of it is in front of the paywall, making it accessible for more folks.

Here are 3 ways that I've found it to be helpful in the classroom!

You can check on their progress as they are writing, allowing you to provide timely guidance and support. Or, you can give them comprehensive feedback on a completed assignment, helping them understand how to improve for the next time. Comments remain in draft mode and will only post on student work after your approval, ensuring that feedback is authentic and meaningful.

Inspect Writing lets teachers watch a video-style replay that shows exactly how a student created their writing. From the first draft through all edits, additions, and pasted text, this tool makes it easy to identify their writing process, spot academic honesty concerns, and detect possible AI use, giving teachers valuable insight into student learning and helps ensure the integrity of their work.

Lots of tools can generate what the presentation might be laid out or the content that would go inside. However, one of my favorite things about their Create tool is that it will make it in the Google Workspace right from the source you're using. Tools like their Presentation Maker, Quiz Generator, or Create Anything to have it generate right into a Google Workspace file.
