Happy Assistant Principal's Week, Mrs. Butler

We are certainly blessed with some of the most amazing staffulty at Mill Creek Intermediate School. I think we all can agree that Mrs. Butler, our Assistant Principal, brings joy and laughter to our school. Not only is she exceptional at her job, but she is always going above and beyond behind the scenes to ensure all of our students' needs are met. We thank you, Mrs. Butler! Enjoy your week!

April is the Month of the Military Child

We want to recognize that military kids serve our country too, as part of a military family … not just in April, but all year long. These amazing kids face challenges and enjoy triumphs along the way, and while no military child’s journey is the same, they each have a through-line that connects them by experience, globally.

Let's Rock to the 90s! Family Dance - April 11

We are excited to host our annual family dance on April 11 from 5:30-7:30. Our school families have chosen a theme of Let's Rock to the 90's! The last day to RSVP for this dance was on April 4.

In order to keep the cost down for families, we are seeking donations for this event. We also need your help with checking families in, monitoring and handing out snacks. If you would like to volunteer and/or send in snacks, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080945A4AF22A6FD0-55922251-dance

Relay for Life Fundraiser - Fill the Basket and See Them Dressed

Students will be voting for teachers to dress up like bunnies. Students vote by donating $1 for an egg.

The top three teachers with the most eggs will dress up like bunnies on Friday, April 11.

We will be collecting donations from April 7-10. All proceeds go to American Cancer Society.

Below is a list of participating staff:

Pre K: Phillips & Scappini

3rd Grade: Rush, Baker, Stone

4th Grade: Varros, Crable, Jessee, Reardon, Hott, Pittinger, Jeans, Painter

5th Grade: Yates, Mason, Sneathen, Thompson, Tetzloff, Kirchner

5th grade Optional Market Day

We had several students that enjoyed making their Market Day project that they wanted to do it again! Wednesday will be our second Market Day. It was optional for fifth grade students to participate so we are doing things a little bit differently.

  • Teams will shop during their recess.

  • Tickets are $.25 a piece. Students cannot purchase more that $2 worth of tickets.

  • Tickets will be sold at the door when they shop. Since it was optional for the fifth-grade students, we do not want to oversell tickets and have requests for refunds.

We can't wait to see the creativity of our 5th graders!
