🐾 Student-Led Conferences Coming Soon!
Dear East Cubs Families,
We’re excited to host our very first conferences as a K–3 school on Monday, November 24 and
Tuesday, November 25 — and to introduce a new format this year: Student-Led Conferences!
Student-led conferences give our Cubs the opportunity to take pride in their learning and show families what they’ve been working on in class. Instead of a traditional sit-down meeting, families can come at any time during the conference window and stay as long as they’d like. Your child will guide you through their work, share learning goals, and reflect on their growth so far this year. Teachers will be available throughout the evening to answer questions and provide support.
Here’s what you can expect:
🐾 A warm welcome into your child’s classroom
🐾 Time for your child to share their learning, goals, and progress
🐾 Opportunities to celebrate growth together
🐾 A chance to ask your child’s teacher any questions
Conference Schedule:
🕑 2:00–4:00 PM — Student-Led Conferences
🍽️ 4:00–4:45 PM — Teacher Dinner Break (school doors locked)
🕟 4:45–7:25 PM — Student-Led Conferences
This model encourages students to take ownership of their learning and strengthens the partnership between home and school. We know it may be a new experience for some families, and we’re confident you’ll love seeing your child shine as they lead the way!
If you have specific concerns or would like to schedule a private conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher. You’re always welcome to request a meeting—anytime throughout the year.
With excitement and gratitude,
Ms. Audra Morrow
Principal, East Elementary

Federal Impact Aide Forms Due!
Federal Impact Aide Forms will be coming home with your student shortly.
Please complete, sign and return these forms to school before November 10th.
Have questions or need help with your form?
Call us at 907-486-7492 or swing by the office.
Thank you for helping us get these required forms submitted.
What are these forms anyway?
Impact Aid was designed to assist school districts that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt Federal property or if the district has experienced
increased expenditures due to the enrollment of federally connected children.
The survey is the way the district files its claim each year.
We receive these federal grant funds to operate
and maintain our schools and enrich our school programs.
The first class to have all forms completed and returned to school gets a popsicle party!
The Giving Season...
We know money is tight right now and the holidays bring even more need,
but if you are looking for a meaningful way to give this season,
we are holding a school lunch balance drive through the end of the year.
Your dollars and cents will not go to waste.
%100 will go to supporting families by lightening the load of school lunch debt.
We of course accept donations throughout the whole school year,
and we can take cash or check in the office at any time. ❤️
