Second Grade
Map Skills
Second Grade is working on map skills this week. We learned all about different map tools including a compass rose, map scale, map key, and map grid. We took our map grid lesson to the pod! We each took a turn throwing a bean bag onto the map grid and recorded what coordinate it landed in. Then, students organized the data they collected to make a picture graph. It was so much fun and now we are expert map grid readers!
Pumpkin fun!
Ms. Wells' class had fun investigating pumpkins by measuring , weighing, and counting how many seeds were inside them!
Mrs. Hanna's Class
We had fun dressing up, estimating during Pumpkin Math, and had a visit from honorary Eagle Chance!
Second Grade ELD Students Connect with Community!
While learning about communities around the world, the second graders took a keen interest in our local community and began exploring jobs that people in our own community do. The second graders self-selected from a group of community jobs, researched them, and planed interview questions. This week community workers in those jobs came in to answer questions and share a little more about their work in our school community.
Third Grade
Third grade is working hard to “join the club!” Students are working independently on their My Path lessons that are just right for them. When students pass 25 lessons they join the 25 club. When students pass 50 lessons they join the 50 club. Students in each class are tracking their lessons and improving their skills daily.
Mrs. Millevoi's Class
Students in B206 worked on the Distributive Property of Multiplication.
Fourth Grade
Buddy Classes
Mrs. Fedele and Mrs. Blaydon got together as buddy classes. The students worked together to create fall poems.
Presentation Day!

Apple Day!
Eating apples supports a healthy immune system. They are low in calories and full of good antioxidants and fiber! Did you know that apples are 25% air? This is why they float and make the perfect fruit for bobbing!
