A Note from the Principal
Day 156/180
Today, we wrapped up Math MCAS for the year. Students appeared to work incredibly hard throughout the testing process, and we are hopeful that their scores will reflect the effort and growth shown by both our students and staff throughout the school year. MCAS season officially comes to a close next week with our fifth graders taking the Science assessment.
With the end of MCAS comes plenty to celebrate. Next week the Jacobs Drama Club will debut their second musical production of the year, James and the Giant Peach Jr, starring many of our students in grades 4 through 7. After the success of the last show, this production will have two public performances, on Thursday night and Friday night, both at 6:30. The amount of work, courage, and talent that goes into a production like this is truly impressive, and we could not be more excited for our students to take the stage. We hope to see many of you there in support of our young performers.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and school community. The final stretch of the school year is always a busy and memorable one, and we are looking forward to making the most of it together.
-Mr. Shaw
Strategic Planning Survey
A Message from Superintendent Mike Jette
As I shared previously, Hull Public Schools has partnered with Teaching & Learning Alliance (TLA) to undertake a District-wide Strategic Planning process. When this work is completed later this summer, we will have a five-year Strategic Plan in place to guide the district’s priorities and annual efforts. We held focus groups last week, and still seek input from the school community as part of this process. We invite you to take a survey about the current strengths and opportunities of the Hull Public Schools. To be successful, we need a broad voice and strong participation from our students, families, staff and community members. Please complete the survey and share your voice with our planning committee. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HullSP2026

Just One MCAS left!
We are just about done with MCAS! All that's left is Grade 5 STE (Science/Technology/Engineering) on May 18 & 20. As you know, we have transformed MCAS from drudgery to a fun event with parades, snacks, prizes, and rewards -- and the difference shows in our school's scores! Donations are still being accepted for our MCAS "You Rock" snack and fidget toy boxes. Please click on the flyer for more information.
