Beginning ASL

Take your communication skills over the top with this camp. Campers will learn the beginning skills of American Sign Language. Topics will include: alphabet, colors, food, greetings, and their name. A field trip to Barnes & Noble will be included.

Use It So You Don't Loose It!

Can you believe the average student looses one to three months of learning over the summer? This is what we refer to as the Summer Slide. Many studies show that students who don't keep fresh with their math and writing skills or read over the summer have a decline in performance when school rolls around in the fall.

Life Skills in ACTion will be offering a variety of academic support this summer to help prevent the summer slide. Some classes will be a review of what was learned already while others will be a preview of what is to come in the student's upcoming school year. Subjects will include reading, writing, math, and study skills.

High School Volunteers Wanted

Do you have a high school student looking to earn volunteer hours? We are now accepting applications for our summer volunteer program. This is an unpaid position, but volunteer hours will be offered. Refer to our "Programs" tab to download the application.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE SUMMER WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL MAY 5TH!
