π PBIS CHARGE & Monthly Rewards Menus
- CTE uses Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to help create a safe and positive learning environment for all students. PBIS focuses on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors. Students learn clear expectations for behavior in all areas of the school, and staff recognize and celebrate when those expectations are met.
- As part of PBIS, students who follow the CHARGE rules can earn tokens and special privileges when they demonstrate expected behaviors. This system helps motivate students, encourages responsibility, and reinforces the positive choices they make each day.
- We encourage you to ask your child about the tokens theyβve earned and the rewards they are working toward. Talking about their accomplishments helps celebrate their success and strengthens the connection between home and school.
- Below are the monthly CHARGE rewards menus that students can cash in their earned tokens for each month.
- Feel free to talk to your child(ren) about these different rewards and help them plan out what reward(s) they might work towards earning.
- When you click on the link below use the arrow to the right to advance to the month you would like to view.

Attendance Policies and Procedures
Attendance Milestone
Repeated Attendance Issues
Tardy Consequences
Absence:
- In the event of your childβs absence, you must submit an absence excuse form. These forms are being sent home with students this week. When a student is absent, an absence excuse must be returned to school within five (5) school days.
- If your child is absent and attends a medical appointment, please return a medical note from that provider.
- Do not email absence reasons to the teacher or office.
- You do not need to notify the office if your child will be absent from school; unless the illness continues for 3 days.
Tardy:
- Any student who is not present in their homeroom by 8:45am is considered Tardy. Any time past 8:45am, students must be accompanied to the office by a parent/guardian and signed in.
- When a student is tardy due to a medical appointment, upon return to school, a medical note must be provided for time missed to be excused.
- If a student is tardy for any reason not medical related, the time missed from school will be marked unexcused time.
Early Dismissal:
- DO NOT EMAIL OR SEND A MESSAGE VIA SEESAW TO TEACHERS THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
- When a student will be dismissed early, please send a handwritten note to your childβs teacher on the day of the appointment. Please do not submit ahead of scheduled date.
- Indicate the person picking up the child, the time and reason for the early dismissal, and whether the child will be returning.
- All early dismissals must be before 3pm due to the traffic patterns at dismissal time. Any pick-up past 3pm will need to be done via the Car Rider Line.
- Any person picking up a student for an early dismissal MUST be indicated on the note for pick-up and have the Yellow Pick-Up Card or Valid Photo ID.
- If dismissal is for a medical appointment, you will be provided with a Dismissal Form for the medical provider to sign. This form must be returned the following school day for excusal to be approved.
- If student dismissal is for any reason not medically related to said student, this will count as unexcused time.
Pre-Arranged Absences:
- Pre-Arranged Absence Forms (found on the District website) must be completed and submitted for approval prior to absence dates. These forms can be found on the district webpage or obtained from the school office.
- One (1) form per child must be completed and submitted.
