The Northeast News

It was Principal Appreciation Week, and Mr. Neal was shown lots of gratitude for all that he does for the students and school. We hope he had a great week!

Our amazing librarian gave some terrific introductory lessons and led scavenger hunts to groups of eager readers.

Many of the AVID students went on a college visit to Texas State. We may have some future Bobcats on the prowl.

Each Friday, there are performances and Karaoke in the cafeteria. Below we have a visiting Mariachi band and Mr. Torres performing a duet.

All the classrooms at Northeast have objectives, goals, visuals, and interesting methods to randomize instruction. We know our students will reach their potential with these great systems in place.

The Student Council had a great time and made some money doing a community car wash last weekend.

There are so many great student-created artifacts in the Social Studies hall. The projects look terrific and visitors can learn more with each stroll down the hall.

Students enjoyed the outdoor Career Clusters Scavenger Hunt assignment, which included a written assignment & extended group collaboration!!

We have plenty of optional dress up days during the week of 10/27 to celebrate Halloween or to showcase Breast Cancer Awareness. Students and Staff are welcome to participate in any or all of the days.

The Soul Raider Band traveled to Cedar Hill Tx to compete in the Cedar Hill HS Battle of the Bands! The band received a rating of Superior (1), the Soul Train Drumline received a rating of Superior (1), and the Band was awarded 2nd Place in the Medium Band division!

The band and dance teams were joined by Webb, Marshal, and Sadler Means to create beautiful entertainment for the Friday football game. We love our connected community of schools.

It was a HOT one out there in Giddings, TX as The Soul Raiders competed in the UIL Marching Competition! Our Band was Awarded a Score of 212 for an overall score of 2 Excellent at the Region 18/26 UIL. We are so proud of all of them and their directors.

Many of the theater students had a great time visiting a real movie studio, Troublemaker Studios, here in Austin.

We have so many talented students here who have been doing amazing art work this year.

The art students are busy preparing planters for the garden space.

With a special tribute to a very special person.

On October 21st the Cross Country team competed in the district regional qualifier meet in Corpus Christi. J. Flores and A. Garcia finished in the top 10 and have qualified for the UIL Regional race. This is a great honor only given to 10 runners from our 4A district. Then, the Northeast team finished 5th in District. The JV team finished 3rd with D. Perryman placing 5th.

Friday nights have meant many chances to catch some exciting sporting events at Northeast like our Football Games and our Volleyball Games. Come on out and cheer on the Raiders. They love the support.

Special shout out to the Girls' JV team who have won the last 2 games! Keep up the great work.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming Raider soccer matches.

Please read the information below for more details.

We welcome all parents, guardians, staff, and community members to attend the monthly CAC meetings. This is an opportunity to hear about the great things happening at Northeast, as well as, to come together to discuss any areas of growth or support needed.
