Warhawk Culture - Community
Last week, I shared the importance of family, our Warhawk Family. Little did I know that the "crazy" week ahead would put that concept to the ultimate test. As we navigate the aftermath of the storm, one thing has become abundantly clear: Community is the thread that holds us all together.
While the weather was unpredictable, your spirit was not. I saw our community weave itself together through selfless acts that define who we are:
Coming together to help a Warhawk family facing tragedy right before the storm hit.
Neighbors clearing driveways and sidewalks to ensure our bus stops are safe so we can reunite next week.
Our amazing Warhawk staff members delivering food bags to those in our Warhawk family who needed a helping hand.
These aren't just chores or tasks; they are the moments that truly show what it means to be a family. They connect directly back to our Blueprint—reminding us that we are stronger, safer, and more resilient when we act as one. We are Better Together!
I am proud of us every day, but this week reminded me just how lucky we are to belong to this community.
WINGS UP !

Key Club - Food Drive Feb 2-6, 2026
Our Key Club is hosting the annual WARM Food Drive from February 2nd – 6th. This isn't just a collection; it’s a friendly competition with a mission. We are facing off against WNHS and WSHS to see which school can collect the most items for those in need. After a narrow second-place finish last year, our Warhawks are fired up to bring the trophy back to Central!
How You Can Help
We are collecting all non-perishable items, but WARM has identified several high-need items that our families can help provide:
Pantry Essentials Personal & Home Care
- Flour & Pancake Mix
- Toilet Paper & Paper Towels
- Coffee (Regular & Decaf)
- Laundry & Dishwasher Detergent
- Rice Sides & Broth
- Body Wash, Soap, Shampoo & Conditioner
Student Incentives
Donations will be collected during Fly Time. To celebrate our commitment to being "Better Together," the Fly Time class that collects the most points (1 point per item) will win a donut breakfast!

HB 123 Violence Prevention Lesson - Feb 4, 2026
On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, our students will participate in the state-mandated HB 123 Violence Prevention lesson during an extended Flytime.
Ohio law requires schools to provide evidence-based instruction on suicide awareness and violence prevention. The goal of this lesson is to empower our students with the tools they need to keep themselves and their peers safe.
Lesson Key Topics
The curriculum for the 2025-26 school year focuses on three primary areas:
Recognizing Warning Signs: Identifying signals from individuals who may pose a threat to themselves or others.
Taking Action: Understanding the critical importance of taking every threat seriously and seeking adult help immediately.
Reporting: How to report dangerous, violent, or harmful activity, including the use of our district’s anonymous reporting system.
