Staying Connected

At the beginning of each school year, parents and guardians are asked to complete paperwork for who is authorized to pick up their child(ren) from school in the event of an early dismissal. The decision to delay, dismiss early, or close school due to inclement weather will be reported on district social media and communication platforms. We ask that you monitor these social media outlets when you believe weather may be a factor.

Text Message Notifications: By opting-in to SchoolMessenger you will receive text message notifications on your cell phone whenever there is a change in the school schedule. Remember to repeat this opt in if you change your cell phone number:

• Ensure that the district has your cell phone number on file
• TEXT "YES" to 67587
• You may opt out at any time just by testing Stop to 67587

Home Phone Automated Notifications: In the event of a late start or an early dismissal, automated calls will be sent to home phone numbers on file with the district. Phone numbers should be updated with your child's school building secretary.

Sometimes after you enroll your student into the district, some of your information may change. This can be things like your address, telephone number, email address or emergency contacts for your child. Please see the steps below.

Address Changes:

If you move addresses within the City of Lebanon or West Lebanon Township, to change your address, please bring your new proof of residency documents into your child's school, or the Student Registration Office located at the District Office at 1000 S 8th St Lebanon PA 17042

Multiple forms of documentation may be used to verify proof of residency. The Lebanon School District recommends the submission of two of the following documents to ensure accurate and expedited verification of residency:

• Active residential lease or current deed
• Mortgage statement (no more than three months old)
• Bank statement or credit card bill (no more than three months old)
• Insurance document (no more than three months old)
• Utility or internet bill (no more than three months old)
• Tax bill or state / federal mail (benefits information, voter registration, etc.) (sent in the past three months)

Phone Number or Email Updates:

Please contact your school secretary to update your phone and email information.

Remember to update your SchoolMessenger notifications when you change your phone number!

Emergency Contact Updates:

Please contact your school secretary for a copy of your child's emergency form and return it as soon as possible with any updates. Please note, that under federal law, we cannot remove a biological parent from the record without a court order.

Guardianship and Custody Updates:

Please bring any paperwork to your child's school, or to the District Office located at 1000 S 8th Street - enter through door G, where the staff will assist you with the process in person.

We invite you to stay connected with us through our online student management platform, PowerSchool. After your child is registered, you will receive a letter with your access code.

The PowerSchool Parent Portal is the main resource center for parents and guardians to view and stay updated about their child’s class assignments, grades, attendance, and more. Once a Parent Portal account is created, a mobile based interface called MyPowerHub can also be accessed in one of two ways:

• Log into the Parent Portal, then click the link MyPowerHub at the bottom left side of the Navigation options.

• Downloading and opening the PowerSchool app.

MyPowerHub, like Parent Portal, contains student information on assignments, grades and attendance but it also allows parents to directly communicate with staff members through a messaging service that can automatically translate any conversation in the parent or guardian’s preferred language. MyPowerHub is made to work on any device, but specifically enhanced for mobile devices, making connecting with school simple! Parents / guardians can update their email address, language and communication preferences quickly and easily to ensure they never miss an important message, again!
