Dear Main Street Families,

Thank you to all parents and guardians who joined us for parent-teacher conferences yesterday. Your partnership and engagement are essential to our students’ success, and we truly appreciate your time and support.

As we enter the second half of the school year, we remain focused on helping every student grow academically and socially.

📅 Attendance Matters!

Despite recent weather conditions, 66% of our students currently attend school 90% or more of the time. Our schoolwide goal is 90%, and we need your continued partnership to help us reach it.

Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in your child’s academic success. Students who attend school daily are more likely to stay on track, develop strong learning habits, and make meaningful growth in reading and math.

How you can help:

  • ✅ Ensure your child arrives at school on time each morning

  • ✅ Avoid early dismissals whenever possible

  • ✅ Schedule appointments after school hours when you can

  • ✅ Remember—every minute of instruction counts!

Mid-Year Assessments & Testing Preparation

Mid-year assessments will conclude next week. Students in grades K–5 will participate in i-Ready assessments. Please encourage your child to take their time and do their best, as assessment results are used to guide important academic planning and instructional decisions.

Today, our teachers also participated in professional development focused on the upcoming PSSA administration. This training ensures staff are well-prepared to support students and administer assessments in a consistent, supportive, and organized manner.

Thank you for your continued partnership in helping our students grow, learn, and thrive. We are grateful for your ongoing support of Main Street Elementary.

Have a safe and warm weekend!

Warm regards,
Ms. D. Medley
Principal, Main Street Elementary School

Proud to serve our amazing school community!

CUSD Technology Usage

Parents and Guardians:

Chromebooks or other technological devices are used in class for students to complete assignments and assessments.. Students may not download games, wallpapers or participate in video group discussions. Improper use of technology could result in the student losing privileges of using the school's device.

Parents:

Please refrain from making u turns in the car line during dismissal. The safety of our children and parents is of utmost importance to us. We would like to move the cars through the line without any disruptions.
