Staff Appreciation Week

February 9-13 is staff appreciation week. Please consider taking a moment to send a kind message to your child's teacher/support staff. They do so much, each and every day, to make sure that BAE is the place to be!

BABS

Our mascot, BABS the beagle, represents Bravery, Acceptance, Belonging, and Success - all things that we are working to instill in our students. Our motto is: One pack, many paws, which means that although we are all different, we belong to the same community and are working together.

Contact Information

Please make sure that the school has updated contact information for you. In the event of an early closure (as happened last week), we need to be in contact to make sure that there is someone home to greet your child. In an emergency, we must have a way to communicate with you.

Attendance Matters

Attendance is very important. Every day missed makes it harder to catch up on missed work. We want to work with our families to make sure that the students here are having their needs met, and recognize that learning looks different for everyone. If your child is going to be absent, please let their classroom teacher know.

Dressing for the Weather

Outdoor play is a part of the curriculum, and it is important for your child to come to school ready to go outside - in any weather! We have some mittens in the office, but do not share hats.

Allergies

We have allergies to nuts and fish. Please do not send these items to school. Also, if your child has an allergy that we do not know about, please let us know so we can update our records. Additionally, if you child has an epi-pen, they need to bring it to school daily.

BAE is excited to Welcome Some Special Guests

On February 10, we will be hosting our own Agricultural Fair here at the school. Students will have a chance to visit booths and learn about agriculture on Canada's Agriculture Day. This is a free event for our students and every class will have a turn visiting the displays, where they will have some hands on learning and lots of exciting experiences.

Then, we will also be having a concert by the Juno award winning group, the Swinging Belles. It's going to be a fantastic day!
