To Do List Before the First Day of School To Do List Before the First Day of School

1. FOCUS SCHOOL SOFTWARE PORTAL ACCOUNT (replacing SIS K12)

Moving forward, the Wentzville school district will be using to Focus School Software. To avoid confusion this year, we recommend that you delete the old WSD and Student 360 apps from your phone and remove any bookmarks, quick links, or web browser shortcuts you may have saved from the old SIS K-12 portal. Parents, please do the following things:

  • Navigate to the Focus School Software website or download the new Wentzville Schools app.
  • Update your password by clicking "Forgot password?". Then, enter the email associated with your current WSD parent portal account to receive an email containing a link to your new credentials. Next, click "Click to view your new credentials" and then "Click here to LOGIN to the Portal" with the new credentials. From there, you will be prompted to reset your password. Now you can log into Focus with your new password!

2. REGISTRATION & REQUIRED FORMS

  • Complete the registration and required forms in Focus by the start of school to view teacher assignments/schedules and to ensure your student has access to District technology resources including Chromebooks and/or iPad (based on grade level) on their first day. Only the parent listed as Priority Parent 1 (located under "Addresses & Contacts") in Focus can complete the forms.

3. STUDENT PARKING AT TIMBERLAND HIGH SCHOOL

  • Parking permits will be available for purchase for $30.
  • ALL school fines must be paid before students can receive a parking pass.
  • Seniors must have their vaccination records updated to purchase a permit.
  • In order to receive a parking permit, you must fill out the parking form and pay for parking.
  • Students will be able to pick up their physical parking tags in the Commons during lunch the first week of school.

4. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

  • If your student plans to participate in extracurricular sports, band/color guard, make an appointment for your child’s sports physical. Families should make an appointment with their primary care physician.
  • Stay on the lookout for sports tryouts.
  • Stay up to date with THS's activity calendar.

5. CHROMEBOOKS

  • Incoming 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students should bring their previously issued Chromebooks on the first day of school, and every day after... make sure they're charged!
  • Students who are new to Timberland will be notified when their Chromebook is ready for pick up during the first week of school.
  • Chromebook Insurance (optional) may be purchased online for $20/year.

6. IMMUNIZATIONS (12th grade only)

  • Please be sure to review our district website for required immunizations.
  • Incoming Seniors MUST have the MCV vaccination prior to August 19 in order to attend the first day of school. This immunization can be given by your pediatrician, local pharmacy, or the St. Charles County Health Department. Typically, these vaccines are hard to find the closer we get to the start of a new school year.
  • If your student has already received the MCV vaccine, please forward documentation to the THS nurse, donnadavis@wsdr4.org.
