We Love Our Military Families!
The Coupeville School District is Celebrating Military Family Appreciation Month!
This November Military Family Appreciation Month was established in 1993 by the Armed Services YMCA, with the U.S. Government recognizing the occasion every year since. Each year the President signs a proclamation declaring November Military Family Month.
Coupeville Schools Are Doing Great Things!
Dear Coupeville Families and Community,
As we step into November, we're excited to share some updates and upcoming events.
Last week, I had the pleasure of spending a day at our elementary school, immersing myself in the daily lives of our Wolf Pups. It was heartwarming to see our dedicated staff supporting our students, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed. I also had the opportunity to attend the Farm to School annual retreat, where I was inspired by their commitment to providing healthy and nutritious food to our students.
Celebrating Our Community
I was also thrilled to participate in our Coupeville Schools Foundation hosted its first annual pickleball tournament, a huge success! The funds raised will directly benefit our schools.
Honoring Our Heroes
November is a special month dedicated to honoring our military families. Their sacrifices and service to our country are invaluable. We're proud to support our military families and veterans. Please join us in celebrating their contributions.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools. We're grateful for the partnership between our schools and our community.
Thank you again for your partnership!

Food Services:
During the first week of October Coupeville joined school districts around the state to celebrate Taste Washington Week by serving meals with food grown on local farms.
- On October 2nd, we served Salmon Corn Chowder and homemade focaccia, made with Lummi Wild salmon and local flour.
- On Thursday, we served 3 Sisters Farm meatballs with School Farm tomato marinara, and a salad bar full of School Farm veggies.
This time of year we serve local food every day and students can enjoy School Farm veggies on the salad bar and Little Red Hen Bakery rolls and bread, baked with grain grown right here on Ebey’s Prairie. Connecting our students to their local food system is one way we support courageous and healthy eaters. We’ll see you at breakfast and lunch!
