Good evening Falcon Families,
What a great first full week at Fammatre! Our special schedule is almost fully up and running, makerspace launches next week, and our library is nearly ready to open its doors. It has been wonderful watching students settle in, making new friends while holding on to old ones.
A quick reminder about afternoon pick up. Please remain in your vehicle at all times and pull forward as space allows. For everyone's safety, students may not enter vehicles while they are in the passing lane. Thank you for your patience as we continue to smooth out this process.
We completed our first fire drill and held our first morning assembly this week. I am looking forward to the Student Advisory Committee getting started so students can sign up to help run future assemblies.
Looking ahead, Back to School Night is next Thursday. We will have minimum day dismissal both Wednesday and Thursday next week. Back to School Night is the perfect time to connect with your child's teacher, learn what is ahead this year, and meet other families in our community. I hope to see you there.

Join us this evening (Friday, August 21st) at Hogue Park from 5-7pm for a back to school family picnic. Bring a picnic dinner and something to sit on—dessert provided by Fammatre HSC!
Throughout the school year Fammatre is always looking for parent volunteers to help out with many on-going activities. If you have some free time during your day we'd love to have you join us. Some items of need are...
Morning drop off helper (7:50-8:10)
Lunchtime Activities (anytime between 11:30-1:00) 1 - 3 days a week
Student Store (once a month to hand out prizes)
Clean up crew for classroom seating area (by Rooms 14-19)
If you can just help for an hour a week we can use you. (no experience needed) stop in at the office or email Ms. Haley at haleys@cambriansd.com for more information
Mark your calendars for our Back to School Night on Thursday, August 27th. This informative night is for parents only and is an important opportunity to meet your child's teacher and review the classroom plans for the new school year. The evening is divided into three time slots so parents with upper and lower grade level students can attend both meetings.
6:00-6:30pm - TK, K, 1st & 2nd parents meet in classrooms
6:30-7:00pm - Home & School Club Welcome in Cafeteria
7:00-7:30pm - 3rd, 4th & 5th parents meet in classrooms

Reminders
These are run by external organizations (NOT by Principal Haley )
Scholarships are provided by the organizations that run the programs on a first-come, first serve basis after the programs have hit minimum enrollment. Most programs offer one full scholarship or two half-scholarships per session. Choose “Scholarship” at check out and you will get an email to confirm if there is one available.
We are hosting our first Math Kangaroo Teams competition this year at Fammatre on 11/17. Team spaces are limited and first come first serve. Deadline to sign up 9/11/26. Details in the sign up.
